With the news of Wendell Berry’s death, the Outlook team is remembering a writer whose poetry, essays and fiction have shaped how so many of us think about faith, community, creation and our responsibility to one another.

We are saddened by his death and deeply grateful for the words, questions and wisdom he leaves behind.

What Wendell Berry poem, book or piece of wisdom has stayed with you?

In the comments, we’re sharing the Outlook’s review of what would become Berry’s final book, “Marce Catlett.”

Join us for a special worship this Labor Day weekend as we try something new!
This worship will be based on the “Godly Play” approach - to help connect us more deeply to each other and feel like we’re truly learning and worshipping God together. The online bulletin & song list is posted on the website.
