As we watch preparations for the 2027 Salt Lake City Temple Celebration, we are reminded of the incredible opportunity ahead here in Tampa.

A recent CNN story highlights the anticipation surrounding the Salt Lake Temple and the millions of visitors expected to experience it. Their story gives us a glimpse of what communities can experience when a temple opens its doors to the public.

We look forward to that same opportunity in Tampa once the temple construction is completed where we can
welcome our neighbors and share the peace and hope found in Jesus Christ.

After 133 years of it hidden from public view, CNN’s Nick Watt gets a peek inside The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints’ newly renovated Salt Lake Temple.

❤️One year ago today, we gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Tampa Florida Temple. Since that sacred day, it has been inspiring to see how much has happened, both on the temple grounds and within our community.

Through construction updates and the Tampa Temple Visitors’ Center, we have connected with so many members and friends whose lives have been touched by the promise of this temple. Foundations are being laid, walls are rising, and progress continues on the temple, chapel, and surrounding grounds. Each new addition reminds us that the long-awaited dedication is drawing closer.

As we watch this sacred place being built, may we remember that the Lord is also preparing us. Let us use this time to strengthen our faith, deepen our commitment, and prepare ourselves to one day enter the doors of the temple and partake of the ordinances and blessings of temple attendance.

We are grateful for all that has happened this past year and we cannot wait to see the progress the next year will bring. 🤍

✔️Final concrete pour for the Tampa Florida Temple has been completed.

✔️ Steel er****on continues and there’s only 80 pieces of orange steel left to install on the temple which is about 75% complete.

✔️ Precast panels are starting to be installed on the west side of the temple.

✔️ Base of the baptismal font has been poured.

✔️ Basement walls studs and mechanical plumbing and electrical systems are being installed.

We can hardly contain our excitement! Please take some time to visit the Tampa Florida Temple Visitors Center from Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.

💕We’re thankful for moments like this. Members of the Valrico congregation organized a luncheon for the temple construction workers to show their appreciation for building the temple.

A few primary children, youth, along with adults served lunch and were able to thank the workers and share their testimony about why the temple is so important to them. The workers were very impressed that the youth today would
we’re actively serving others. They were so thankful for their service and how friendly they were.

We are so grateful for the temple construction workers who are helping to build the Lord’s temple.

Temples allow us to be sealed for time and for all eternity. ❤️

The Griggs family recently celebrated their marriage sealing, Sister Griggs Endowment and having their daughter sealed to them in the Tallahassee Florida Temple.

Sister Griggs shared a beautiful scripture to honor these amazing experiences at the temple:

Draw near unto me and I will draw near unto you; seek me diligently and ye shall find me. D & C 88:63

The decision to receive your endowment is personal. During the endowment ordinance, you will be invited to make certain covenants with God. After you’ve received your own endowment, return to the temple as often as you can.

Who knew framing could look so amazing!?

As we watch the Tampa Florida Temple take shape, it is a beautiful reminder that the strongest buildings begin with a solid foundation and strong framing. Our testimonies are built the same way. As we center our lives on Jesus Christ, strengthen our faith little by little, and keep our covenants, we become better prepared to withstand the storms and trials of life.

As long as Jesus Christ is our cornerstone, we have no need to fear. ❤️

“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.” — Matthew 7:24

📸Thank you Sister Robyn Klepko & Brother Ed Mills for these construction photos.

Which temple have you visited this summer? ☀️

“My family and I visited Nauvoo recently and attended both British and Nauvoo pageants in early July. We visited the beautiful Nauvoo temple and were amazed at the stories leading up to its building and rebuilding after a fire and later tornado destroyed it.

There is a brand new visitor center that highlights some original pieces of the temple remnants. The Nauvoo temple is glorious! My family and I felt such a special pioneer spirit at the temple.”

Families can be together forever. This is one of the amazing blessings of having a temple.

The Burch family from the Forest Ward congregation in the Ocala Stake recently was sealed together as a family at the Tallahassee Florida Temple.

“The divine plan of happiness enables family relationships to be perpetuated beyond the grave. Sacred ordinances and covenants available in holy temples make it possible for individuals to return to the presence of God and for families to be united eternally”

(“The Family: A Proclamation to the World,” Ensign or Liahona, Nov. 2010, 129).

Knowing that families can be together forever can bring comfort, peace, and hope through life’s challenges, especially during times of loss and the death of loved ones. When you are sealed to your family and remain faithful to the covenants you have made, those precious family relationships can continue beyond this life.

The blessings of sealing can also be extended to your ancestors through temple ordinances performed on their behalf. In this way, generations of families can be connected for eternity. As we strive to build eternal families and honor our covenants, we can experience remarkable blessings, both in this life and in the life to come.
