Exciting progress continues at the temple site!

The temple precast concrete panel mockups are onsite. The brick veneer mockups for both the meetinghouse and distribution center are completed. The architectural team will be onsite this week to review and approve the colors and design.

Construction on the meetinghouse is underway, with footings currently being installed.

Next week, crews are scheduled to pour the slab on grade, which will become the first floor of the temple.

One of the most visible signs of progress above ground is that the large dirt pile is quickly disappearing as site preparation work continues.

It’s exciting to see this sacred project taking shape day by day!

As we honor and celebrate Motherhood we are reminder of former Relief Society General President Julie B. Beck’s talk- Mothers Who Know:

Pictures like these are worth far more than a thousand words.

Members of the Brick City Ward of the Ocala Stake recently gathered at the Tallahasee temple, and one experience stood out: the man who took their photos shared that it had been 20 years since he last attended the temple. He was happy to be back and doing work for his family. He was glowing.

That’s the power of the temple. 💛

As construction continues on the Tampa Florida Temple, may we keep our focus on the temple as we prepare ourselves to enter the house of the Lord.

Exciting progress continues on the Tampa Florida Temple!

All basement walls have now been poured, with waterproofing in place and backfilling underway. The baptismal font walls are taking shape as rebar is being installed, and floors in the distribution center have been poured with bathroom work beginning next.

The first load of structural steel has arrived. Concrete floors in the utility building are partially complete, and 98% of the underground utilities have now been installed.

We are grateful to see this sacred house steadily rising and look forward to the continued progress ahead.

Do you have the temple in your sights?

The Valrico Ward of the Brandon Florida Latter-day Saints recently had an uplifting youth temple trip.

Sister Samantha Campbell expressed, “Worshipping in the Fort Lauderdale Temple requires a collective effort when traveling so far. Our ward members united as leaders drove youth, parents took shifts watching children, and youth performed ordinances for those who could not attend. What seemed to be a “sacrifice” in the beginning, soon became an opportunity to bond. Feelings of “hearts being knit together as one” became the universal sentiment”.❤️

As the Tampa Florida Temple is being built, we remember the invitation by President Thomas S. Monson…“Always have the temple in your sights.”

Each week, dedicated volunteers lovingly bake cookies and write heartfelt thank-you cards for the construction workers working on the Tampa Florida Temple. 🍪💛

It’s such a small and simple gesture, but it means so much to those working hard each day on this beautiful building.

And when you visit, you get your picture taken and added to the wall as a special way to remember all who have stopped by to learn more about the temple.

Construction continues to move forward on the Tampa Florida Temple. The distribution and utility building walls are now going up, and footings are being formed on the west and south sides, and rebar is being installed on the temple site. It’s exciting to see steady progress as this sacred House of the Lord develops. 🤍

The Sarasota Stake Presidency and Bishops, along with their wives, were recently invited to visit the Tampa Florida Temple site. They were able to learn more about the construction and feel the spirit of the wonderful things taking place there. Elder and Sister Peck shared inspiring experiences and insights, making it a meaningful and uplifting visit for all.
