KINGDOM OVER CULTURES
JESUS IS KING.
There is no Plan B.
There is no backup gospel.
There is no other way.
Jesus didn't say, "I am a way."
He said:
"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."(John 14:6)
That settles it.
The Kingdom of God does not bend to culture.
It doesn't matter whether the tradition comes from Native heritage, Hispanic heritage, White heritage, Black heritage, Korean heritage, island heritage, African heritage, Asian heritage, European heritage, or any other people group.
Every culture must bow to King Jesus.
The gospel is not called to conform to culture.
Culture is called to conform to Christ.
Jesus rebuked people who elevated tradition above God's commands:
"You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions." (Mark 7:8)
Paul warned:
"See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to human tradition... rather than according to Christ." (Colossians 2:8)
God said:
"You shall have no other gods before Me."(Exodus 20:3)
So ask yourself...
If your culture tells you to pray to ancestors...Choose Jesus.
If your culture tells you to seek guidance from mediums, spiritists, shamans, or fortune tellers...Choose Jesus.
If your culture tells you to trust horoscopes, zodiac signs, lucky charms, crystals, spiritual cleansings, or rituals for protection...Choose Jesus.
If your culture teaches you to fear curses more than you fear God...
Choose Jesus.
If your family tradition requires compromise with God's Word just to keep the peace...Choose Jesus.
If everyone around you says, "This is just how we've always done it," but Scripture says otherwise...
Choose Jesus.
Some traditions are beautiful expressions of family, hospitality, language, music, food, celebration, and honoring one another. Those can glorify God when they don't contradict His Word.
But when any tradition becomes spiritual authority...
When any ritual competes with Christ...
When any custom replaces obedience...
When any practice exalts another power above God...
It becomes an idol.
There is only one Savior.
Only one Mediator.
Only one Name by which we are saved.
"There is salvation in no one else." (Acts 4:12)
The cross is greater than culture.
The Word is greater than tradition.
The Holy Spirit is greater than ancestral customs.
The Kingdom is greater than every earthly identity.
Jesus isn't asking for a place in your culture.
He's demanding the throne.
Every idol must fall.
Every false altar must crumble.
Every competing loyalty must surrender.
Every knee will bow.
Every tongue will confess.
JESUS CHRIST IS LORD.
Not culture.
Not tradition.
Not family expectations.
Not ancestral practices.
JESUS IS KING.
And HIS KINGDOM IS OVER ALL!
The Word of God is unchanging, immutable, infallible, inerrant, eternal, and authoritative. It is living, powerful, trustworthy, and enduring through every generation. God's truth does not bend to culture, time, or opinion…it remains steadfast, unshakable, and forever true.
