That's why we have church. We have church to learn what kind of dying leads to life and what kind just leads to more death. We have to help each other learn the difference. Christ's death was redemptive. Judas Iscariot's death was not. Jesus gave himself away. Judas threw himself away. We have to die and rise with Christ so that what comes out of it is life, and the kind of unity in the church that makes us a power in the world because we have quit fighting with each other and have started dying and rising together. -Cornelius Plantinga
