🌸 Some things deserve a second chapter.

Our old church planters faithfully welcomed worshippers for many years. While time had taken its toll, we weren’t quite ready to let them go. 💜

So they found a new home on our church grounds!

🌸✨ A little front-entry refresh! ✨🌸

Our old planters, while beautiful, had sadly reached the point of cracking and falling apart.💔🥺With the help of endowment funds, we were able to purchase beautiful new planters to welcome everyone to Rush River Lutheran Church!💛

A huge thank you to Krazy Kerry's Barnyard Botanicals for helping us find the perfect planters—and an extra special thank you to Kerry for generously donating the soil and these gorgeous flowers to fill them! 🌺🌿

🌱💜 Remember our Sunday of Service when our Sunday School kids planted seeds and talked about how small acts of kindness can grow into something beautiful for God?

Welllll… let’s just say the seeds had their own plans. 😬😂

Jim’s sunflowers actually took off at first 🌻… and then quickly decided they were done with that whole “growing” thing. 🙃 We may have spotted a couple of other determined little sprouts here and there, but overall—not exactly the lush garden we imagined. 🤣

So we gave our seed project a new chapter 💜 We planted the surviving sprouts in one of our beloved old cemetery urns alongside the hardy pansies that made it through this chilly spring.

Maybe more seeds will bloom here… maybe not. 🌱😊
But honestly? That feels a little like faith and kindness too. Sometimes growth looks different than we expect, happens more slowly than we hoped, or surprises us in unexpected places.

The important part? The seeds were planted. 💛✨
