🌾 Introducing: Faces of Harvest Dinner! 🌾

It’s officially September, which means Harvest Dinner month is here! 🍂

Over the next few weeks, we’re going to introduce you to some of the faces behind this 79-year Rush River tradition—the people, memories and stories that have made Harvest Dinner what it is today. ❤️

And who better to kick us off than Annette Kelley!

Annette has been helping since she was about 11 or 12 years old, learned the fine art of lefse making from Aunt Doris, survived the days of tight Norwegian waitressing vests 😂…and today helps keep all of us on track with the legendary Harvest Dinner binder. 📒❤️

🍂 36 days until Harvest Dinner! 🍂

But who’s counting?! 😏

Well…apparently we are. 😂 Last week’s Harvest Dinner committee meeting involved some VERY serious counting. Cups, napkins, supplies…count it, recount it, and then maybe count it one more time just to be safe. 🤣

It may not be the most glamorous part of Harvest Dinner, but all those little things are part of what makes the big day happen! 🧡

September 27th will be here before we know it!

🍂 Harvest Dinner Volunteers Needed

It’s almost time for the 79th Annual Rush River Lutheran Church Harvest Dinner & Country Store!

This year, we are trying something new—a simple online volunteer sign-up. Our hope is that this makes it easier for everyone to find a time and role that works best, and helps us better see the many hands that make this event possible each year.

🙌 Every Role Matters

Every job is important, and every volunteer is deeply appreciated. Whether you can:

● Help for a couple of hours
● Assist with preparations ahead of time
● Serve on Harvest Dinner day
● Help with cleanup afterward

…your time and support make a real difference.
