Bags for the Homeless
While the thought of winter care feels premature,
cool evenings have a habit of quickly becoming
cold nights. As a congregation, we want to get
ahead of the weather and begin collecting
donations for LMC Sunday school children to
assemble “Winter Care Bags for the
Homeless.” These bags will be available for the
LMC attendees to take (free of charge) and keep
in their vehicle. When someone that is homeless
or in need is near, these bags provide an
opportunity help in a tangible way. These bags
also create gospel opportunities to learn the
individuals name and offer to pray for
them. Monetary donations will be collected at the
Raise Right table to purchase the items below. If
you feel lead to bring these items, please place
only new, non-expired items in the box in the LMC
entryway between 9/20 and 10/11.
Items include: Socks, Gloves, Hats, Handwarmers,
Band-Aids, Washcloths, Sent Free Soap, Energy
Bars, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, Hand Sanitizer,
Gift Card (Fast Food)
The Sunday school kids will be packing the bags
on October 18th. Please have items to LMC by
Wednesday, October 11th.

Costa Rica Recap: September 20th
On September 20th, starting at 9:30 AM the
2026 Costa Rica Mission Team will be
presenting a report on this year’s trip to
Iglesia Uncion y Fuego. So many of you have
supported Costa Rica Missions this year and
we want to give you a chance to ask
questions about our trip. We will be
presenting in the fellowship hall between

Bring your book bags to church on
Sunday!
We are downsizing MANY books from our church
library, so we will be able to use the room for
other purposes.
There will be books of interest for teens, college
age, singles, parents, older adults, and music CD’s.
We will be keeping some of the reference books
on the shelves. We also plan to keep the children’s
section in the library because it is used the most.
Parents, the children’s books and DVD’s can be
taken home for 2 weeks and then returned. There
is no need to check anything out.

Kwik Trip Raise Right 10% Promotion
During the month of September, Kwik Trip will be
increasing their nonprofit donations to 10%. For
every $100 gas/gift card purchased, LMC will earn
$10. All proceeds from the Raise Right program
go toward non budgeted church needs. Please

purchases.

Basement Remodel Update:
A huge thank you to everyone who donated
toward the basement remodel fundraiser “Get in
on the Ground Floor!” We reached our goal of
$40,000 in record time. Your generosity is another
example of how God works in the hearts of
believers, and it is inspiring. If you haven’t had a
chance to take a peek in the basement, the work
is progressing nicely. A huge thank you also, to
those who have volunteered their time and effort
to help get the work done! You have helped to
keep costs down and are doing amazing work!
To help kick off the start of Sunday School, we
would like to recognize the children who also
donated to the project, since they are a big “piece
of the puzzle” (and will be using the space more
than most of us). A prize drawing will be held on
Sunday, September 13th during Sweet Jesus time
to reward the generosity of the kids who bought
puzzle pieces.
Our upgraded lower level will be a blessing in so
many ways, serving the 4 Cs and joining Jesus on
His mission, Praise the Lord!
