At Calvary Baptist Church of Rio Linda, we believe the Bible, we follow Jesus, and we love one another. Here are some frequently asked questions that will give you a better idea of what to expect when you visit CBCRL. If you do not see an answer to your question here, you can contact the church office by calling (916) 991-5870 or by emailing us at [email protected]. Where Are You Located? Our addr

ess is 6608 16th St, Rio Linda, CA 95673. Our main church building is identifiable by three crosses in front. We are located at 16th & Elkhorn, right across the street from the feed store. When Do I Need To Arrive? Sunday School (all ages): 10am. Sunday Morning Service: 11am. Sunday Evening Service: 6pm. Wednesday Bible Study: 7pm

Arriving at least 5-10 minutes prior to the service time will allow adequate time for parking and getting into the church. If you have small children, this will give you enough time to show them their classes and get them checked in. Park in the big parking lot on the south side of the main church building that has three crosses in front. Come in through the main entrance at the front of the building. A greeter will be at the main entrance and can direct you to the auditorium, the nursery, and children’s classes. Where Do My Children Go? We have a nursery available for children ages 0-4. Our loving nursery workers will get your information and you will be notified if your child needs extra assistance in any way. On Sunday mornings at 10am we have Teen Sunday School (7th to 12th grade) and Children’s Sunday School (ages 5 years to 6th grade). At 11am we also offer Junior Church (ages 5 years to 6th grade). The youth will begin both services with their parents in the auditorium during our initial time of worship through music, and then will be dismissed to go to with their teacher to their class. We believe it is best for children to have the Bible taught on a level that can be understood and comprehended. We feel children should love coming to church, and we strive to make that possible. What Should I Wear? We are more concerned with meeting your needs rather than focusing on what you wear. What Do I Need To Bring? A Bible will help you follow along with the message and Scripture reading. If you do not have a Bible, the Scriptures are often shown on the screens, and Bibles are located in the pews. Talk to Pastor Lutes after the service and he would love to get you a Bible. We desire everyone to have access to God’s Word. If you have a smart phone or tablet, there are many downloadable Bible apps available. We use the King James Version in the church services, so if you download an app, consider using that version so it’s easiest to follow along. Otherwise, there really isn’t anything else you need to bring with you. Is The Church Handicap Accessible? There is reserved parking directly in front of the main entrance. How Are Visitors Recognized? We ask visitors to fill out a connection card located in the pews. You can put the connection card in the offering plate, hand it to Pastor Lutes, or give it to one of the ushers. We will not ask you to stand up or call you out in any way. We want you to have a wonderful experience at Calvary Baptist Church of Rio Linda and desire to create a friendly and comfortable environment to make you feel at home.

Wednesday at 7pm: “A Student of God’s Word.”
Our typical idea of a student is “one who goes to school,” but learning should not stop with graduation. God wants us to be continually learning and growing in His Word our entire lives.

Wednesday at 7pm: “A Farmer in God’s Harvest.”
A bountiful harvest is simply the visible result of a farmer’s earlier duties performed faithfully. As laborers for God, we too, must work to see an abundant harvest. In this lesson, we will examine some of the farmer’s tasks and relate them to our responsibilities as a farmer in God’s harvest.
