We’re all experts at one dangerous habit: renaming our sins so they don’t sound so bad.Gossip becomes “just sharing concerns.”
Selfishness becomes “protecting my boundaries.”
Pride becomes “I’m just confident.”But 1 John 1:8 cuts through the excuses: “If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves.”The mark of a real Christian isn’t perfection — it’s confession.Drop the defense attorney act today. Bring your sin to Jesus. He is already your Advocate — faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you completely. You in?This is a quick clip from Week 3 of our 1 John series: “If We Say…”
Full sermon drops soon — hit subscribe and turn on notifications so you don’t miss it! What’s one sin you’ve been renaming lately? Drop it in the comments (anonymously if you want). Let’s be honest together.

“If we walk in darkness while claiming fellowship, we lie.” That is not cruelty.
That is mercy. Because false assurance is spiritually deadly. The same God who is perfectly holy also lovingly exposes darkness so sinners may be brought into truth, cleansing, and fellowship through Christ. Key Statement
God does not expose darkness to destroy us — but to cleanse us. Comment “LIGHT” if this brought you hope

Church family, listen to this: If God is truly light, then certain contradictions become impossible.
Certain claims become false.
And certain paths either lead toward fellowship with God… or away from Him. This isn’t just head knowledge.
What we believe about God shapes how we actually walk before Him. Because truth always has consequences. Comment “LIGHT” if this spoke to you

John reminds us that if we walk in darkness we lose fellowship with God but if we come into the light we find cleansing and forgiveness

Jesus doesn’t want us comfortable in spiritual darkness.
You don’t drift into the light — you step into it. In the light we find real fellowship, cleansing, freedom, and joy through the blood of Christ. Comment “LIGHT” if this spoke to you

Jesus didn’t come merely to extend our existence.
He came to bring real, abundant, eternal life — by stepping into our suffering, rejection, and even death. That’s why the cross matters.
The eternal Son of God took on flesh… for you. Comment “LIFE” if this hit you

There is a difference between analysis and testimony.
The apostle John does not present Christianity as abstract philosophy or vague spirituality. He writes as a witness:
“I heard Him.”
“I saw Him.”
“I touched Him.”
Christianity is rooted in the reality of a real Christ.
