Pastor Cheri’s message today was, “The Wind Still Blows.” Acts 2:1–4 reminds us that during Pentecost a mighty wind came as the Holy Spirit filled the believers. Pentecost reminds us that we are called to live boldly, faithfully, and lovingly for Him. Through the gift of the Holy Spirit, fearful people can become faithful people.

The little pinwheels that were given to each of us were such a meaningful example. Just as we cannot actually see the wind, we cannot physically see the Holy Spirit, but we can feel His presence and see the impact He has in our lives. The movement of the pinwheel reminded us that even when something is unseen, it is still very real and powerful.

As we also remember Memorial Day this weekend, we pause to remember, honor, and give thanks for the brave men and women who made sacrifices for our freedom.

May we carry both faith and gratitude in our hearts. ❤️🇺🇸 Happy Memorial Day weekend

This Sunday, on Ascension Sunday, Pastor Cheri’s message was based on Acts 1:9-11: “He ascended so we can go.”

Too often, we stand looking up, waiting and watching, when God is calling us to move. Pastor Cheri used the example of a helium balloon rising into the sky. Just as we watch a balloon disappear into the clouds, the disciples watched Jesus ascend into Heaven. But the angels told them not to just stand there looking up. They were called to go and be His witnesses.

The same is true for us today. We are called to witness, work, pray, act, serve, and do what God is calling us to do. Don’t just look up — go and be a witness for God wherever you are. ❤️
