Thank You, Ridgeville Church of God!
Today was truly a special and humbling day as we celebrated more than 10 years of Pastor Appreciation with all the wonderful people at Ridgeville Church of God. Words cannot fully express how grateful we are for the love, kindness, prayers, encouragement, and generosity you have shown us—not just today, but throughout these many years of ministry.
Being chosen to serve as your pastors is one of the greatest honors of our lives. We never take for granted the trust you have placed in us to lead, shepherd, encourage, and walk alongside you through every season of life. We count it a privilege to stand with you on the mountaintops and in the valleys.
One of the greatest blessings of being your pastors is sharing in the most meaningful moments of your lives. Whether it is performing marriage ceremonies, standing with couples as they begin a new chapter together with their expanded family, or praying over their homes and families. We also consider it an incredible honor each time you allow us to stand beside your family in times of loss and to conduct funeral services, offering comfort and hope and pointing people toward the promise we have in Jesus Christ. To be invited into these sacred moments is something we will never take lightly.
And perhaps one of the greatest joys of all is knowing that we aren't doing this Kingdom work alone. We are surrounded by people who love God, love this church, and are willing to roll up their sleeves and help us Reach the hurting and the lost, Communicate the love of God, Overcome life's obstacles, and Grow in Christ Jesus. Every volunteer, every ministry leader, every person who prays, gives, serves, invites, teaches, sings, works behind the scenes, or simply shows up makes a difference.
To everyone who helped make today so special—thank you from the bottom of our hearts. To those who traveled from out of town just to celebrate with us, your presence meant more than you know. The distance you traveled was a beautiful expression of love and friendship, and we are incredibly grateful.
After more than a decade as your pastoral family, we are more excited than ever about the future of Ridgeville Church of God; we love the people God has entrusted to us, and we love what God is doing through this church.
Thank you for allowing us to be your pastors.
Thank you for believing in us.
Thank you for praying for us.
Thank you for serving beside us.
And most of all, thank you for loving us.
We are excited about what God has done, grateful for what He is doing, and believing for even greater things ahead! Remember: You are more than a number, You are family!!!
