In 2011 when the Lord laid it on our heart to move out of Abuja to Lagos, one of the worries we had was how to get my wife to be transferred from her office in Abuja to the Lagos office.

Both of us knew that because she just started working at the office in Abuja as a new staff of the federal government, it will be almost impossible for her to get transferred to another state.

We did not know what to do but we prayed about it and told God, “you were the one who asked us to move to Lagos, we are ready to move to Lagos but I cannot leave my wife in Abuja, please make a way”.

Yes we did not know that He Himself who told us to go to Lagos knew what He was going to do.

My wife could not even inform the director in her office because of fear but she told her immediate boss that her husband who is a pastor is about to relocate to Lagos.

On this faithful day, she got to her office and her director sent for her and told her that he overheard that her husband is a pastor and that he is relocating to Lagos, to which my wife replied yes (in fear).

The director then said to her, I have decided to send you to our office in Lagos to continue your work . He then said “who am I to stop you from going to Lagos to be with your family”.

When she got back home and told me that she had been transferred to Lagos, I couldn’t believe it.

Sometimes all we have to do is just show God that we are willing to obey him, he knows what to do in order for His purpose to be established.

As I was praying this morning, the Holy Spirit brought to my mind the feeding of the five thousand men and their families in Mathew 14:13-21.

Jesus knew what he was going to do before he told his dicsciples to feed the people. He knew that the disciples had nothing on them to feed the crowd, yet he told them to make the people sit down.

The disciples were calculating how much money they will need to feed the crowd but Jesus already knew what He was going to do!

All that we need to do is just obey him, we do not need to understand all the details and we may be unsure about what will happen next, yet we must just trust Him and obey.

Abraham did not have an idea that God had prepared a lamb in the thick of the forest when he was instructed to go and offer his only son Isaac on Mount Moriah. Abraham only saw the lamb when he obeyed and placed his son on the altar.

My friends, you and I must stop trying to understand what God wants to do and how he will get it done. We just need to obey him and let His plans unfold!

God is never confused about what He will do, we just must trust Him and obey!

Thank you for your loyalty to the vision and your commitment to the assignment of rebuilding broken lives and building the next generation. We pray that as you celebrate your birthday today that God will continue to prosper you and establish you in His will. We love you!

A few days ago, one of my sons wanted coke so badly that he started crying 😢 😢. I had the money to get him coke but I said no! He cried and cried but i still said no. I hated it that he was crying but the decision to not give him was for his own good!

I have heard several people say if God loves me why is he not answering all my prayers?

There are many who even decided to stop following the Lord because they claimed God failed to answer their prayers.

But, you should be happy that God loves you too much that he won’t answer all your prayers!

What kind of father will give his child everything that he ask for even when he knows that what the child is asking for will kill him?

God loves you too much than to let you have your way!

Unfortunately you and I were taught wrongly, we were taught that in prayers we enforce what we want on God and command him to answer us.

What we do in prayer is submitting to the will of God not forcing ours on Him.

Therefore, you and I should be grateful that sometimes God won’t give us what we want!

You and I should be grateful to God that sometimes He will say no to our prayers!

You and I should be grateful to God because He our father knows what is best for us to have, when to have it and how to get it!

If you can’t trust Him enough to know that the fact that He says no to your prayers is born out of love then you really have no idea who your Heavenly Father is!

If God can give you His only son Jesus to save you, what else can’t He give you? But does that mean He will give you everything you ask for? Absolutely no!

God only answers His children according to His will not according to the will of His children.

Therefore, be glad and rejoice that you have a father in heaven who can say no to you!

Guess what? God knows your end from the beginning! God has a perfect plan for your life and he won’t watch you mess it up!

Remember always that “It is the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” Lamentation 3:22

One of the mercies of God and compassion that you are enjoying is that He does not give you all that you ask from Him.

I am thankful Oh Lord for not answering all my prayers? What about you?

Several years ago, I attended the Solemn Assembly of the Redeemed Christian Church of God at the Redemption city in Lagos.

Pastor Adeboye after teaching for about an hour on how hungry Elisha was about receiving the double portion of the Spirit of God on Elijah and how he will not let anyone stop him.

He spoke passionately about hunger for God and then called us all to join in the place of prayer in the understanding of what He taught us.

Nevertheless, he told us that he won’t close the service because everyone of us have a choice to keep praying as much as we want and that we were free to go if we chose to go.

As soon as he finished saying all of that, he layed down on the floor and began to pray. An hour later he was still there.

One by one everyone started leaving the meeting place and he was still there praying 🙏.

Eventually, I decided to leave as well, although Pastor Adeboye was still there.

As I stepped out, the Spirit of God said to my heart “no one can be greater than the level of their hunger for God”!

Immediately, It became obvious to me that the level of hunger and passion I have for God was not on the same level with Pastor Adeboye!

Am I comparing myself with Pastor Adeboye? Far from it!!! I can’t!

But do I want to grow in faith and experience the level of fruitfulness he has experienced in his life and ministry? Then my appetite must change!

Today is a great reminder for me, to do an appetite check!

Today is a great day to ask myself if I am really hungry for the Lord!

Apostle Paul was so hungry for Jesus that He said “all I want is to know him and the power of His resurrection, and to be conformed to him in suffering”!

No one can outgrow their hunger for God!

This is my story
I want to tell you a story of a lady who turned into prostitution to feed herself and survive. She had lost her parents a long time, while no one in her family was willing to help her. Her life became so miserable and bad that no one in the community wants to associate with her.

Whenever she is walking the road, people laughed at her and mocked her; there were times she had attempted to take her own life because she was tired of the very life she was living. She had spent nights weeping and praying that things might take a new turn for her but her case seems hopeless.

The guilt of sleeping with men to survive keep pursuing her away from God. There was even a time she decided to start attending church, but she could not sustain the decision because of the way people were looking at her, talking about her and mocking her in the church.

Anytime she wants to go out in the day, she had to disguise and cover herself so that no one will be able to recognise her. On this fateful day, her neighbour told her that a pastor came to town, and that this pastor is so anointed that all manner of miracles were happening through him.

This pastor had come to town to organise a crusade, to minister to the different needs of people. When she heard about this pastor, she decided to attend the crusade, with the hope that she can just hang out with people since no one wants to identify with her.

Then her fears came so strong, as she could not but face the ridicule of people as she walked to the crusade. She eventually went to the meeting and when this pastor started preaching, he looked at her straight in the midst of the crowd and said ‘I am here for you, because I love you’.

She looked around her to see if the pastor was talking to someone else, but the pastor took another step of coming down to where she was and holding her hands, he looked at her with so much passion and said ‘I came for you and I love you truly’. She could not believe herself because the moment people saw her, they started murmuring and gossiping, she tried to hide but this pastor held her hands and pulled her up.

For the first time, someone had cared about her and expressed it publicly. She could not understand why the pastor will tell her ‘I love you’. She could not understand why this pastor has to stain himself to move close to a dirty lady like her. As the service ended, she decided to run away, yet the pastor sought her out and took her apart and gave her money to eat and take care of herself for the week. It became the latest news in town that the pastor had fallen in love with a pr******te, but the pastor’s only response was ‘ i came for her, I gave everything up for her’.

At last, she left the hotel where she was living and became an evangelist following this pastor everywhere and started preaching to people how her life was changed and how hope was restored to her. What was her story? Her story is that she found love when everyone had written her off, she found hope when her lifestyle had condemned her to death, she told them how she was delivered of seven demons.

So many people believed her, they saw hope in their situations too. Do you know this lady? If you do, she has given me a message for you too. She said that there is a great lover that can turn your mess into a message, your scars to stars, your errors to wonders, your mistakes to miracles.

She told me to tell you how bad she was when she met this lover and that no matter how bad you think you have been, this lover wants to give you hope. Have you been disowned, rejected, mocked, scorned and cast out by people, by your parents, by your church, your community?Someone loves you and He is willing to give you a new start. He may not be able to undo what you have done, but he can close that chapter forever and give you a brand new story.
