🚨 NEW SYNTHETIC OPIOID LINKED TO AT LEAST 55 DEATHS ACROSS MULTIPLE STATES

Health officials are warning about cychlorphine, a synthetic opioid reportedly up to 10 times more potent than fentanyl.

The drug has been detected in counterfeit pills and other illicit substances, meaning people could take it without knowing. Standard fentanyl test strips cannot detect cychlorphine, according to the report.

Officials say overdoses may require multiple doses of Narcan. The drug has been linked to at least 55 deaths across several states.

💜🎗️ BRIGHT LIGHT FOUNDATION TOOK THE STAGE! 🎗️💜

On Friday, October 23rd, the Bright Light Foundation had the honor of hosting our FIRST-EVER SCHOOL ASSEMBLY at Bryan Station High School in Lexington, Kentucky, in recognition of Red Ribbon Week! ❤️🏫

What an incredible milestone for our organization and the mission we carry every single day: Education. Awareness. Prevention.

We stepped into that auditorium with a purpose bigger than ourselves. We came to have real conversations, challenge stigma, educate students about the dangers of fentanyl, and remind young people that the choices they make today can impact their tomorrow.

Through our Bright Minds, Bright Futures curriculum, interactive discussions, and real-life stories, we are working to equip the next generation with the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions, recognize the dangers of counterfeit pills, and understand that one decision can change a life forever.

For me, this mission is deeply personal. I am not just sharing information from a textbook. I am a mother who lost her beautiful daughter, Brighton, to fentanyl poisoning. 💔 Her life matters. Her story matters. And if sharing our story can help protect even one child, then we will continue to show up, speak up, and shine a light wherever we are needed.

To the students and staff at Bryan Station High School, THANK YOU for welcoming the Bright Light Foundation and allowing us to be part of your Red Ribbon Week. We are grateful for the opportunity to pour into the next generation.
