Welcome Friends to Connect Community Church,
If you have ever been sitting in church and thought to yourself, "There has to be more to being a Christian than this.". You are right, there is, much more in fact. I've been a "church goer" for years and I've wondered that very thing while sitting in churches of different doctrines across America as well as here in Kentucky. The problem of course is our definition of church....we go to church...instead of being the church. Man has made church all about a building, a place of refuge, a place to worship, a place where we gather when in fact Christ intended for us to be His church. Peter even referred to us as living stones. When we read the book of Acts that covers the birth of the church extensively there is not a single reference to a building. The church met in homes, in synagogues, in courtyards or wherever they could.
So here at CCC we have a couple of mantras if you will, the first being, "It's not about a building.", and the second, "Don't just go to church, be the church.". When we read the final judgment in Matthew 25, Jesus tells the sheep why they get to enter the kingdom of heaven, and the goats why they will not enter the kingdom. Interestingly, He doesn't mention anything about a building or the things done in a building. He speaks only of the actions of His love in us. See church is not about us, church exists for those without Him. We are to be the light in this dark world.
So if you want to get your hands dirty and you want to feast on the meat of the word, then CCC might just be the place for you. If you "shop" for churches based on amenities or programming, I predict that CCC will not be on your short list.
I encourage you to tune into one of the messages and if that resonates with your Spirit, then take the next step and join us in our warehouse.
