We worship on Sunday mornings at 9:00a with Bible Class for all ages at 10:15a. Childcare is available for during Bible Class. Please see the "Services" tab for special service dates and times.

"Forgiveness Is For Me"
Sunday September 6, 2026 Worship Theme:
Forgiveness does not come naturally to human beings. It is expected that humans will defend themselves, lash out when attacked, hold grudges, and bite back. So, when human beings hear that they are forgiven, they may even be suspicious or skeptical.
Jesus tells a parable that contrasts the forgiveness of God with our own unforgiving sinful nature. God forgives our huge debt. Who can comprehend such unexpected mercy? Certainly not unmerciful servants, who refuse to forgive small debts. Have mercy on us, Lord, and teach us to forgive like you!

"Cross Comes Before Crown"
Sunday August 30, 2026 Worship Theme:
Some churches teach that if a person follows God, God responds by granting prosperity and peace, as would only be expected. Today we see how that is nonsense. The Bible explains that if we are part of the Church of God, we will have bear crosses. Believers suffer in this world, sometimes just because they are believers.
Why bother? We carry our crosses in gratitude for Jesus carrying his cross, one too heavy for us because it was weighted down with our sin. We carry our crosses because we know that in those moments of struggle, we are forced to turn to Christ and rely on his strength. This is the unexpected path, the one Jesus himself walked: the cross comes before the crown.

"The Son Of Man Is God"
Sunday August 23, 2026 Worship Theme:
Jesus asked, “Who do you say I am?” It’s the most important question in the world, and it is a question every human being must answer. The expected answer may be dead wrong. Some in Jesus’ day thought he was John the Baptist. Some thought he was the prophet Elijah who had come back from the dead. Today plenty of people believe that Jesus existed. They think that Jesus was a wise teacher or a role model for love. Both answers are expected. Both miss the main point.
Jesus is a real human being, the Son of Man. He is also Lord and Savior, the Son of the living God. This unexpected truth is the core of saving faith.

Unexpected Truths
"The Church Is For All"
Sunday August 16, 2026 Worship Theme:
“All are welcome!” Is that true at our church? Or is church meant only for people of the right heritage who behave the right way, “good church folk”? Is it conceivable that a stranger could walk into church unexpectedly and for some reason you would ask yourself, “What is someone like that doing here?” Or perhaps you ask that question about yourself. “There seem to be godly people here. I’m not like them. Do I really belong?”
Today Jesus shows us that the Church is for all people. All of us—regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, or social status—have the same problem of sin. And we all have the same Savior. Anyone who comes to Christ’s Church and cries out “Lord, have mercy!” is welcome.

What Makes Christians Different
"Christians Answer Doubt With Faith"
Sunday August 9, 2026 Worship Theme:
Wherever faith clings to the promises of God, doubt is always lingering. Doubt asks the serpent’s garden question, “Did God really say?” People doubt God’s care, God’s promises, or God’s providence.
The answer to doubt is not found in loud, dramatic demonstrations. The true answer to doubt is found in the still small voice of our Savior God whispering to us in his Word. Through Word and sacrament, Christ reaches out to us with nail-scarred hands, proof of his great love. Jesus gently says, “Why did you doubt?” Our faith is restored. Christians answer doubt with faith.

On Sunday, July 26, Redeemer Lutheran Church joined together at Narrows Park for our yearly outdoor worship service followed by a picnic fellowship. It was a beautiful day to worship our Savior, enjoy Christian fellowship, and spend time together as a church family.

We also said farewell to our Vicar, Gus B**a, and his wife, Amy, after the past year of serving our congregation. As part of his pastoral training through Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, Vicar B**a completed his third year with us and has now returned to Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary for his final year of studies before, God willing, receiving a call to serve as a pastor.

We are thankful for the year God blessed us to share with Vicar and Amy. We have been richly blessed through his faithful preaching and teaching of God's Word, his care for our congregation, and the many ways he served within our church. We thank God for the opportunity to learn and grow together in Christ during his time at Redeemer. We pray that the Lord will continue to bless Vicar in his final year at the seminary, strengthen him in his studies, and prepare him for the ministry He has planned. May God also continue to bless Amy as they look forward to this next chapter together.

Thank you, Vicar and Amy, for your year with our Redeemer family. You will always have a special place in our hearts.❤️✝️

Last Saturday, we had a great One Day Vacation Bible School. These children took a trip of a lifetime! 🛩️

First to the Grand Canyon⛰️, then wandering in the desert🌵 with Moses.

The children learned about Moses in the desert and how with the use of a bronze snake he had to save the Israelites from snake bites🐍. They also learned that Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins✝️ as we learn about in the Bible in John 3:16. They made travel bags🧳 for our next trip, learned mapping skills🗺️ to get to the Promised Land🏜️, and made a rock 🪨 snake.

Today our hearts are filled with thanksgiving as we celebrated Pastor Seelow's retirement after 43 years of faithfully serving the Lord, which includes the past 26 years here at Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Pastor, thank you for being a faithful shepherd to our congregation. Through your Christ-centered preaching, Bible Classes, catechism, visits, prayers, encouragement, love, and care, you have faithfully pointed us to our Savior. You have reminded us that Christ is always at the center of all we do, and because of that, our church has grown together as a family of faith and love. Your faithful leadership has strengthened our church family and has been a blessing to each of us in countless ways.

While we will miss seeing you in the pulpit every week, we give thanks for the many blessings God has poured out through your ministry. Thank you for answering His call and for being a good and faithful servant to your Lord.

As you begin this new chapter in retirement, we pray that the Lord continues to strengthen and encourage you and Peggy, filling your days with His peace and joy, and blessing you both in the years ahead.

Thank you, Pastor Seelow, for walking beside us, praying with us, and always pointing us to Jesus. We love you, we thank God for you, and we pray that He continues to richly bless you.

What Makes Christians Different
"Christians Trust God To Provide"
Sunday August 2, 2026 Worship Theme:
The hardest times to trust God are the times we need him most. It’s easier to trust God when your job is going great, your health is fine, your relationships are fine, and your family is good. It’s easier to trust God when the sun is shining, but what happens when your life is suddenly overshadowed by dark days?
When tragedy strikes, we may wonder if God continues to care for us. At those times, Christians do not despair like those who have no hope. Instead, Christians focus on certain foundational facts. We are chosen and adopted as God’s dear children. God provides us innumerable spiritual blessings and promises us an eternity of peace and joy. If we recognize those spiritual blessings, how can we doubt that God will give us everything we truly need at the right time? Christians trust God to provide.
