Dear Stake Members,

As we head into the summer months, we would like to invite all families and youth to participate in a "Summer of Service." We have received some wonderful opportunities from the Rexburg Soup Kitchen that are perfect for youth groups or families looking to give back to our community.

Giving service not only helps those in need but has also been shown to improve mental health by helping youth combat depression and anxiety. You can read more about these benefits here: https://newsroom.churchofjesuschrist.org/article/studies-show-service-helps-teens-combat-depression-anxiety

Featured Opportunity: Snow Cones and Service
Every Wednesday in June, children and youth can bring shelf-stable food items, "dinners-in-a-bag," or inspirational cards to the Rexburg Soup Kitchen (480 West 2nd North, VFW Hall) between 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM. As a thank you, the Soup Kitchen is offering free snow cones to those who drop off donations!

On Friday, June 26, BYU-Idaho will host a Tabernacle Choir Watch Party at the BYU-Idaho Stadium, and members and friends from all 34 stakes (basically everyone) in our area are invited to attend.

This event is intended to be more than a broadcast, it is a community celebration. The concert will be shown at 7 p.m. on a large video wall in front of the stadium bleachers. Games and activities, including rock climbing and mini golf, will open at 6 p.m., along with local food trucks.

The goal is to fill the BYU-Idaho Stadium, and the first 2,500 attendees will receive free food truck vouchers.

Come join us for this special event on Saturday evening. Tickets are free to the public at tetonflood50.org.

The need for senior missionaries is significant, and there are many opportunities for seniors to contribute through mission service.

Click this link https://seniormissionary.churchofjesuschrist.org/srsite/ft/search?lang=eng to find specific needs listed, and also check out the following senior missionary opportunity available below:

The Church is looking for a faithful couple who may be willing to serve as Welfare and Self-Reliance service missionaries in the Chicago area, beginning later this year (3rd or 4th quarter). The anticipated length of service is 12–18 months.

In this role, the couple would work closely with local bishops to support members in need, helping individuals and families move toward greater self-reliance. This includes meeting with members, assisting with self-reliance plans, and coordinating with ward leaders.

They are looking for a couple with a strong love for people and a desire to serve. The husband should have prior experience as a bishop and be familiar with Church welfare and self-reliance principles.

This is a self-funded assignment. Estimated living expenses in the Chicago area range from $3,000–$4,000 per month, and a personal vehicle is required.

If you feel this opportunity may be a good fit for you, please contact the stake presidency.
