In-Person lecture: THE SCIENCE OF GOD AND ITS POWER TO HEAL US
Christian Science Church in the University District, 5034 University Way NE, Seattle, WA

Nikki O'Hagan, international speaker and Christian Science healer, will speak on making a paradigm shift in her talk “The Science of God and its Power to Heal Us.”
Misconceptions about ourselves and the world we live in are often corrected by advances in science which bring paradigm shifts to our ways of thinking and understanding existence — like discovering that the earth revolves around the sun, rather than the other way around.

The current matter-based scientific model leaves many questions unanswered and has some thinkers and scientists questioning if it is still the right model. It is interesting to consider if the time has now come for another major paradigm shift in science – a shift that would include God as the center and circumference of all existence. This paradigm shift in thought begins with the questions - how does science relate to God and is there a science that explains God?

Nikki will address these questions and show how the Science of God explains Jesus’ healings, and teachings, makes God knowable and understandable, and provides humanity with a safe and reliable means for caring for ourselves and each other.

Lisa Troseth, practitioner of Christian Science healing and international speaker, will present her talk, “Moving past fear – to healing,”

“Fear can be overcome and even healed in our lives by discovering the strong connection and relationship we have to something bigger than ourselves—God,” says Lisa. “By learning to lean and rely on this greater, higher good, we can feel moved to love beyond ourselves—and this frees us from fear and so much more.”

Nicole Virgil, international speaker and Christian Science healer, will speak on living freely in her talk “Be Set Free.”

“Circumstances often present what appear to be significant obstacles to living freely, something that everyone wants to do,” Nicole says. “Whatever it is that seems to stand between us and the full range of motion that we would like to have in our lives — it’s not so much the presenting impediment that is the problem — it’s not knowing how or where to access our God-given liberty.”

“In this talk,” says Nicole, “we will examine liberty from a Biblical perspective; and see how real people today find their freedom from all kinds of physical, emotional and circumstantial restrictions that seem clearly beyond their control so that they may Be Set Free.”

Join us for this free Christian Science talk in Sequim on Friday @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at the Dungeness River Nature Center, 1943 W. Hendrickson Rd.. The talk is free, open to the community, and hosted by First Church of Christ, Scientist, Sequim.

Christian Science healer and international speaker, James Shepherd will also present his talk, "Why Everyone is Needed?" at the Kent Commons Community Center on Thursday, May 16 at 10:30 AM. James' talk is free, open to the community and sponsored by First Church of Christ, Scientist, Kent.

“I love exploring the nature of God, infinite Love, as the only cause, and our unbreakable connection to God as God’s offspring,” James begins. “This connection gives us our purpose and worth by seeing everyone from a more God-like, or spiritual, point of view. I’ve experienced how this has an impact on my life and on the lives of others.”

Finding this new sense of our connection to God helps us bring healing to difficult world problems like political divisions and social inequality. Each one of us is connected to God. No one is left out. James’s lecture discusses what our purpose is, where our worth comes from, and shares examples of how seeing ourselves and others as God sees us gives us a spiritual perspective that heals ourselves and our world.
