What a special weekend at OBC! 🙌

We had the joy of celebrating **child dedications**, as families committed to raising their children to know and follow Jesus—and as a church family, we committed to walking alongside them, praying for them, and encouraging them along the way. ❤️

We were also honored to welcome the president of Open Bible Churches, President Michael Nortune, who shared an encouraging and challenging word with us.

We’re grateful for what God is doing in our church, in our families, and through the greater Open Bible family. The best is yet to come! 🙏

Division rarely starts with a fight. It starts with a grievance.

Korah undermined authority.
Absalom stole hearts.
Jezebel intimidated opposition.

Different methods. Same fruit: DIVISION.

Disappointment → private conversations → shared grievances → competing loyalties → camps → division.

Healthy churches aren’t built on blind loyalty—but they are built on honor, biblical accountability, trust, and unity.

“Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” — Ephesians 4:3

Something is happening in Gen Z. 🙌

Recent Barna research found that nearly 3 in 4 Gen Z adults say they’ve personally seen someone their age commit their life to Jesus.

That doesn’t mean 75% of Gen Z has become Christian—but it does point to something worth paying attention to.

A generation often described as anxious, skeptical, and increasingly disconnected is also showing a remarkable openness to Jesus, Scripture, prayer, and authentic faith.

Maybe we shouldn’t just talk about Gen Z as the future of the Church.

They are the Church right now.

Let’s pray for them.
Let’s disciple them.
Let’s give them opportunities to lead.
And let’s believe God for a genuine move of His Spirit in this generation.

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers…” — 1 Timothy 4:12

Friday night was a great night as we kicked off a new school year together! 📚✏️

We’re thankful for the opportunity to pray over our students, teachers, staff, and families as they begin a new season. A special welcome to Mrs. Utecht as she steps into her new role as principal—we're excited for the leadership and heart she'll bring to our school community.

We’re also grateful for our Parents with a Mission (PWM) team, who partner with teachers throughout the year by helping communicate classroom needs with parents and encouraging our school community through practical support and service.

Thank you to Brian Freeouf for leading our Anchored Dads prayer group and reminding us of the powerful impact of fathers faithfully covering their families and schools in prayer.

We also want to mention Pastor Christi as she begins her new role as superintendent. We're grateful for her faithful leadership and the influence she'll have on so many students and educators.

Here's to a school year rooted in faith, filled with growth, and anchored in God's grace. We're praying for each of you! ❤️🙏
