This Labor Day weekend, Pastor Kevin is talking about Sabbath, not as one more thing to squeeze into a packed life, but as God's gift in the middle of it. Come rest, come think it through together, all three services at 8:30, 9:45, and 11:00. Kids Church and Sunday School running too, so the whole family can take a breath.

🍽️ Dinner 5:45-6:30pm - a catered meal for the whole family, so you can skip the cooking and just be together
📖 "Immediately - a study through the Gospel of Mark" with Pastors Kevin and Laura, open to all, no homework and no prequisites!
🧒 KidsZone - engaging Bible programs for PreK-5th graders while the grown-ups study

One of our Blesisng Initiative Partners is holding an event in a few weeks, and you're invited! Family Promise of the Triangle is hosting their annual Night of Hope fundraiser on September 10th from 5-7pm at Clouds Brewing in Downtown Raleigh. This year, the goal is to raise enough to provide 1,000 nights of emergency shelter for families experiencing homelessness in the Triangle. Tickets are $100 for individuals or $150 for couples and include heavy hors d'oeuvres, open bar, and silent auctions.

Do You Hear What I Hear? 👂👀

What if something as simple as being able to clearly hear a prayer, follow the words of a hymn, or read Scripture could help someone fully participate in worship again?

North Raleigh UMC is launching “Do You Hear What I Hear?” - a campaign to improve the audio and visual accessibility of our traditional worship services.

The proposed upgrades include:
🎵 New sanctuary speakers so spoken words and music can be heard throughout the space
🦻 A hearing assist system that connects directly to hearing aids via Bluetooth
🎤 Improved choir microphones and monitors
📺 Two new screens to display prayers, Scripture, hymn lyrics, and more

Our goal: $400,000.
With your generosity, we hope to have these upgrades in place before Advent and Christmas so even more people can hear, see, and experience the good news proclaimed through word and song.

North Raleigh Kids Ministry is growing and so are our volunteer needs! These amazing folks spent their Saturday morning getting a glimpse of KidsMin here at NRUMC and learning how to be sure that all our kids who come here feel like it's a place for them to belong! Visitors telling us their kids call this "the fun church" AND can tell a Bible story back at pickup doesn't happen by accident! It happens when people like you give generously of their time to BE God's love for these kids each and every week.
