We finished our Spring semester strong. These past few weeks we focused on the Gospel of John. Building a relationship with the Son of God who brings life, truth, and purpose to help young men figure out who they are and where they’re going. This has been by far the most inspiring season of Lodge. I have never seen a more bold and engaged group of boys as this time around. Not shy to speak the truth of the Gospel and boldly proclaiming Jesus is Lord. A big thank you to the volunteers who sacrifice their Sunday afternoons to make this happen. A big thank to our prayer warriors for keeping us lifted throughout the season. See you again in the fall.

In support for his brother Jordan who is battling cancer, Mr Arthur let the boys shave his head. Please keep Jordan and the Hughes family in your prayers as they navigate through this challenge. There was no shortage of volunteers for this so Mr Arthur selected the two most engaged participants in devotion time and service.

This past Sunday we jumped straight to work. We did little w**d clean up at the church just to get familiar with some tools and get ready for our next service day with LifeCare. Then talked about satisfying our hunger, John 6:35.

Jesus says “I am the bread of life,” He is the only one who truly satisfies the deepest needs of our hearts—our need for purpose, love, forgiveness, and belonging. Just like bread keeps our bodies alive, Jesus keeps our souls alive.

Today we went off script. Focused on fellowship, roasted dogs and mallows for s’mores. Talked ablout gifts and John 3:16, the entire story of the Bible summed up in one sentence. The greatest gift we ever received.
