We will also have a covered down dinner to follow after the service in the gathering room.

A LOOK AT HOW WORSHIP HAS CHANGED

Worship has changed over the years.

Music, technology, and styles may be different, and not every change is wrong.

But the purpose of worship should never change.

The New Testament church gathered around God’s Word, prayer, fellowship, communion, and Jesus Christ.

Methods may change, but the message must not.

The question is not, “Is it new?”

The question is, “Is it biblical?”

Join us Sunday, August 23rd for a morning of Bible teaching, worship, fellowship, and encouragement from God’s Word.
10:00 AM — Adult Bible Class in the Sanctuary
“God’s Love for Israel” — Hosea 11:1–11
In Hosea 11, we get a beautiful picture of God’s love for His people Israel. They had wandered away from God and had not always listened to Him, but God had not forgotten them or stopped loving them.
This chapter shows us a God who is loving, patient, merciful, and faithful. Even when His people wandered, He still cared about them and wanted them to come back to Him.
Come and learn what this passage teaches us about God’s love for Israel and how God remains faithful to His promises and His people.

11:00 AM — Morning Worship Service
“REMEMBER LOT’S WIFE” — Luke 17:32

Jesus once gave a very short warning:
“Remember Lot’s wife.” — Luke 17:32

Only three words, but there is a powerful message behind them.
God gave Lot’s wife a way out of S***m. She was told to leave and not look back. She walked away with her feet, but her heart was still connected to what she was leaving behind.
Jesus tells us to remember her because we can do the same thing.
We can say we are following God while still looking back at the life He is calling us to leave behind.
We can hold on to old habits, old hurts, old sins, old ways of thinking, and things of this world that keep us from completely following Jesus.
So ask yourself:
What am I still holding on to?
Is God asking me to leave something behind?
Am I moving forward with Jesus, or am I always looking back?
This will be a very unique message from the words of Jesus Christ with a simple truth we still need today:
Don’t spend your life looking back when God is calling you forward.
