You’re invited to join us this Sunday evening at Salem Baptist Church!

Sunday, August 23rd at 5:00 PM

Our message will be:

“A Tale of Two Daughters”
Matthew 9:18–26

This is a story about two very different people facing situations they could not fix on their own. One was a father desperate to help his daughter. The other was a woman who had been struggling for years. Both needed Jesus, and both discovered that He cared about what they were going through.

Maybe you are carrying something today that you cannot fix. Maybe you are worried about someone you love. Maybe you have been waiting a long time for an answer. Come and be reminded that Jesus still cares, Jesus is still able, and there is still reason to believe.

Come as you are. Bring your Bible, bring your family, and bring a friend. We hope to see you there!

Softly now the light of day fades upon our sight.

As another day comes to an end, I hope you can look back and see God's goodness, even in the ordinary moments.

Perhaps today brought joy, or perhaps it brought challenges.

Either way, the Lord has been with you every step of the way.

As you close your eyes tonight, leave your worries with Him.

There is no burden too heavy for His hands and no concern too small for His heart.

Rest in the assurance that the God who watched over you today will faithfully watch over you through the night.

May you have a peaceful night, a restful sleep, and wake tomorrow ready to walk with the Lord once again.

Good night, and God bless you.

As the day comes to a close, I hope you have walked with the Lord today.

If you have rejoiced, thank Him.

If you have struggled, trust Him. If you have failed, remember His mercy is new every morning.

As you lay your head down tonight, rest in the assurance that the same God who watched over you today will continue to watch over you through the night.

His love never sleeps, His care never fails, and His presence is always near.

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8

May the Lord give you a peaceful night, a restful sleep, and a heart ready to greet a new day in His service.

Good night, and God bless you.

Good morning!

William Wordsworth wrote, "The best portion of a good man's life is his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and of love."

That reminds me of something Jesus taught.

Many of the greatest things we do will never make the news or receive applause.

A kind word, a helping hand, a visit to someone who is lonely, or a quiet prayer for a friend may seem small, but God sees every act of love.

"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." — Galatians 6:9

Today, look for one simple way to bless someone. It may be forgotten by the world, but it will never be forgotten by God.

Have a blessed day.

Pastor Jeff
