To every person on this planet who knows me, "THANK YOU."

Thank you for all the ways you have helped me this past year, for your prayers, your kindness, your encouragement, and especially for the fellowship we share in Jesus Christ.

None of it has gone unnoticed, and none of it has been taken for granted.

I am truly blessed. Blessed first and foremost to have been given the opportunity to be saved by the grace of Jesus Christ, and blessed to walk through this world alongside so many others who love Him and are journeying through a place that is not our final home.

May God hold you in the palm of His hand today and every day.

As a new year begins, many emotions fill our hearts.

Some of us feel hopeful.

Some feel tired.

Some feel unsure.

Some are simply thankful to have made it through the last year.

A new year does not erase what we have been through.

It does not automatically heal wounds or answer every question.

But it does remind us of something important: God is still writing our story.

God speaks clearly when He says,
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee.” Isaiah 41:10

He does not promise an easy road.

He promises His presence.

And that promise matters more than anything else.

One reason we struggle with fear is because we do not know what is coming next.

We wonder about phone calls, doctor visits, finances, and relationships.

We worry about what the year ahead may bring.

But God already sees what we cannot see.

The Bible reminds us,
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”

God knows the path ahead even when we do not.

We do not step into a new year alone. God is already there. He walks ahead of us, not to rush us, but to reassure us.

Like a parent leading a child through a dark hallway, God simply says,
“I’m right here.”

And that is enough.

On that quiet morning long ago, before the world knew what had happened, a simple carpenter kneeled and was the first human being to look upon the face of God.
Joseph was the first to see Him.
Not a king on a throne.
Not a conqueror with power.
But God, wrapped in human flesh.
A baby.
Placed gently in his care.
In that moment, heaven touched earth in the most humble way imaginable.
“And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger.”
Joseph did not see glory as the world defines it. He saw vulnerability. Trust. Love is placed into human hands. God chose to come not with noise or force, but with tenderness and humility.
And now, more than 2,000 years later, here we are.
So much has changed.
Empires have risen and fallen.
Technology has advanced.
The world has grown louder and faster.
Yet the meaning of that morning has never changed.
Jesus came because the world needed saving.
He came because we could not fix ourselves.
He came because love would not let God stay distant.
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.”
Christmas is not just about a baby in a manger. It is about God choosing to walk where we walk, feel what we feel, and carry what we could not carry on our own.
Our journey with Christ does not stop at His birth.
The manger leads to the cross.
The cross leads to the empty tomb.
And the empty tomb leads to new life.
My prayer for this day is not just that you remember the scene in Bethlehem, but that you know the Savior who grew from that manger. That you understand what has been given to you through His life, His death, and His resurrection.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son.”
Jesus came in the flesh to bring hope to the broken, forgiveness to the sinner, peace to the weary, and life to the lost. He came so that no one would ever have to face darkness alone again.
As you gather today, may your hearts be filled with peace.
May your homes be filled with warmth.
May your souls be filled with gratitude.
And may you know not only the babe in the manger, but the risen Savior who lives and loves still.
From our house to yours,
Merry Christmas.

You are personally invited to
The Journey to Christmas

Christmas Eve – December 24th
5:00 PM

at Salem Baptist Church
59907 Salem Road, Salesville

This Christmas Eve, we invite you to step away from the noise and busyness of the season and step back in time. The Journey to Christmas is a special evening where we will walk through God’s Word and relive the story that changed the world forever.

Together, we will step into antiquity — back to the days of promise, prophecy, and hope — and walk through the Scriptures as they lead us to the birth of Jesus Christ. It is a journey through the Bible that reminds us why Christmas truly matters and why the story of Jesus is still the greatest story ever told.

This will be a warm, meaningful time of worship, reflection, and celebration. You will hear the Christmas story shared in a clear and heartfelt way, reminding us that Jesus came as the Light of the World, bringing hope, peace, joy, and love to all.

This service is for everyone — families, friends, neighbors, and guests of all ages. Whether you’ve heard the Christmas story many times or are hearing it in a new way, we believe it will touch your heart.

Please bring a friend, invite a loved one, and come experience The Journey to Christmas with us. We would be honored to have you join us as we celebrate the birth of our Savior and share together in this special Christmas Eve evening.

We look forward to welcoming you.

Prepare Your Heart for the Lord’s Day
Sunday, October 5th – Worship Schedule

2:30 PM – Nursing Home Ministry
Countryview Assisted Living
62825 County Home Road, Lore City, OH

5:00 PM – Evening Worship
Salem Baptist Church, 59907 Salem Road, Salesville, OH
Message: “The First Sin and Salvation” (Genesis 3:1–24)

It All Starts TODAY....

Tomorrow’s worship of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ doesn’t begin when the music starts, it begins today.

It begins when we take a quiet moment and pray:
“Lord, prepare my heart to meet You. Help me to focus on You and to share Your love with someone today.”

It continues when we open our Bibles and read His Word, allowing the Holy Spirit to speak to our hearts.

It grows as we prepare our homes and our hearts for Sunday — when we choose our clothes, plan our meals, and even plan our prayers.

Worship begins with a heart that is ready. And a ready heart starts on Saturday.

How Can You Help Build the Lord’s House?

God’s house isn’t built with bricks and boards alone, it’s built by hearts that serve.

Ask yourself:

Can I greet someone at the door with a smile and a warm handshake?
Can I read a devotion or share a short testimony?
Could I volunteer in Junior Church or help with a work day at the church or cemetery?
Might I visit a nursing home and share a song, a prayer, or just a kind word?

Each act of service, no matter how small, is worship to the Lord.
When the pastor asks, “Does anyone have something to share?” don’t be afraid to raise your hand. Do not be afraid to stand and give your Testimony if you are saved and tell the story of God’s goodness, as it could encourage someone who desperately needs hope.

Remember Romans 1:16 (KJV):
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth.”

Why Preparation Matters

Think about this: no athlete shows up to the race without training, and no musician performs without practice.

So why should we come to worship without preparing our hearts?
God deserves our best, our time, our attention, our devotion.

If we fill Saturday with distractions, we will enter Sunday empty.
But if we fill Saturday with prayer and expectation, we will enter Sunday full of joy!

Satan loves to isolate believers. Just like he deceived Eve when she was alone, he tries to pull us away from fellowship, whispering that other things are more important than worship.

But when we gather with God’s people, he loses his power.

So make this weekend a time to draw close to God, to invite a friend or neighbor, and to bring your family to His house.

Tomorrow’s Services: A Day to Remember

In the afternoon, we’ll go to Countryview Assisted Living in Lore City to sing, pray, and minister to those who may not be able to come to church. Their smiles and gratitude will remind you what love looks like in action.

Then, in the evening, we’ll gather once more at Salem Baptist Church in Salesville for a warm, family-like service around God’s Word. We’ll be studying “The First Sin and Salvation” from Genesis 3, a message that shows the mercy and grace of God even in the midst of man’s failure.

It’s going to be a wonderful day in the Lord , and we don’t want you to miss it.

The Romans Road to Salvation

If you’ve never trusted Christ as your Savior, here’s what God’s Word says:

Romans 3:23 – “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”

Romans 6:23 – “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Romans 5:8 – “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Romans 10:9 – “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

Romans 10:13 – “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Friend, today is the day of salvation. Jesus loves you, died for you, and rose again to give you eternal life. Come and meet Him this Sunday.

So, what will you do with Jesus today?

Will you keep Him as just a thought for tomorrow, or will you make Him the center of your life today?

Let’s come together in unity, love, and joyful worship. Let’s lift up Jesus, for He promised:

“And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”
John 12:32

We can’t wait to see you tomorrow.

Let’s make this Lord’s Day one that glorifies His name in every heart.

With love and blessings in Christ,

Bible Study Tonight at Mt. Zion Church
WE ARE LOOKING AT DESTINATIONS FOR THE SOUL OF EACH HUMAN BEING
THIS WEEK WE WILL EXAMINE: HEAVEN
We’d love for you to join us this evening at 7:00 PM at Mt. Zion Church, 57196 Mt. Zion Road, Quaker City, OH, as we gather around God’s Word and study one of the most encouraging topics in all of Scripture: Heaven.
Did you know that the Bible mentions heaven more than 500 times?
From Genesis to Revelation, heaven is described as God’s dwelling place, the throne of His glory, and the eternal home He has prepared for His children.
Jesus Himself spoke about heaven often, calling it a heavenly place, referring to it usually as a heavenly place, and asking for it to be'' heavenly place filled with reward and joy.
In John 14:2–3, He gave us one of the greatest promises: “In my Father’s house are many mansions… I go to prepare a place for you… that where I am, there ye may be also.”
Tonight, we will explore together:
What the Bible says heaven is really like
Who is in heaven right now
How can we be certain that heaven will be our eternal home
What Jesus promised about heaven and why that gives us hope today
This will be a time of encouragement, teaching, and fellowship. Everyone who attends will also receive a special handout with Scriptures and study notes to take home and reflect on throughout the week.
So come with your Bible, bring your family and friends, and let’s rejoice together in the hope of heaven. We look forward to seeing you tonight at Mt. Zion at 7:00 PM.
“Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven.” – Matthew 5:12
