As our nation prepares to celebrate America 250, we are reminded that history is not just something we remember — it is something we continue to build together. Today, we give thanks for community, freedom, faith, and the many people who have helped shape this country's story.

May this Independence Day be filled with gratitude, reflection, celebration, and hope for the future we share.

SAVE THE DATE — CELEBRATING 250 YEARS OF AMERICA!

This July, the Provo Community Congregational United Church of Christ invites the community to join us for two festive events celebrating faith, fellowship, tradition, and 250 years of America in the heart of downtown Provo.

Start your Independence Day with our annual Pancake Breakfast Parade Fundraiser on Saturday, July 4, from 6:30–9:30 a.m. Enjoy pancakes, bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, and your choice of orange juice, coffee, milk, or water for just $8 a meal. Guests are welcome to dine in our air-conditioned Fellowship Hall, relax on the terrace, or grab breakfast to go before enjoying the parade festivities.

Then join us again on Sunday, July 5, at 12:30 p.m. for Red, White & BBQ, part of America’s Potluck and the celebration of 250 years of American history and community. Following worship, we’ll gather in the courtyard for hamburgers, hot dogs, ice cream, drinks, and summer fun. Guests are invited to bring a favorite side dish, salad, or dessert to share as we celebrate together in a spirit of gratitude, friendship, and community.

All events will be held at 175 North University Avenue in Provo, Utah. We hope you’ll make plans now to join us for this joyful weekend of celebration!

Remembering Those Who Came Before Us

This Memorial Day, we remember and honor the many people whose faith, vision, service, and dedication helped shape our historic church campus and community through the generations.

Within the walls of the Provo Community Congregational United Church of Christ, generations have gathered for worship, music, service, celebration, and community. Countless individuals helped create a place of welcome, compassion, and hope in the heart of downtown Provo.

We give thanks for the stories, traditions, and memories that continue to live on through this sacred and historic space, and we hope to continue building a legacy they would be proud of.

Happy Mother’s Day! 🌸

For generations, women and mothers have shaped the story of this church—offering faith, leadership, music, service, and quiet acts of care that have strengthened this community from the very beginning. From the earliest days to today, they have been at the heart of this space—building, serving, leading, and loving in ways that continue to define who we are.

Their legacy lives on in these walls and in the spirit of all who gather here. We honor those who came before, those with us now, and all who nurture, guide, and love with a mother’s heart.

Cinco de Mayo is the perfect time to celebrate the rich Spanish and Mexican influences woven throughout the architecture of Provo Community Congregational United Church of Christ. For more than 100 years, this historic Spanish Colonial-inspired campus has stood as a reminder of timeless design, craftsmanship, culture, and community. ✨

As restoration continues, we’re working to preserve and share these architectural treasures for future generations while keeping the heart of Downtown Provo vibrant and welcoming.

So grab the chips, pass the salsa, don’t forget Dave’s queso, and celebrate the beauty, history, and culture all around us! 🌶️🧀🎺

A NEW HOPE FOR DOWNTOWN PROVO ⭐

When the world feels a little closer to the Dark Side, communities like ours can still choose to be a force for hope, restoration, and light.

Through the Keeping the Faith in Downtown Provo campaign and the Cornerstone Restoration Project, this historic campus is becoming a new kind of “planet” in the heart of the city — a gathering place for art, music, service, film, worship, conversation, and belonging where people from all walks of life can connect and feel at home.

Like the great worlds and stories of Star Wars, the future is shaped by those willing to believe restoration, hope, and community still matter.
