Serving Yavapai County since 1893:

The Salvation Army of Prescott has served the needs of those less fortunate in our community for over 120 years. Today we continue to serve those in our community by providing for many basic needs like food, utility assistance and clothing, We are able to accomplish this work through the efforts of volunteers, donors and staff. Thank you for all you do to care for those who are struggling during these uncertain times.

Today we carried on a tradition that began over 100 years ago when Salvation Army “Donut Lassies” served donuts and encouragement to soldiers on the front lines during World War I. 🍩

In that same spirit, our team visited local first responders and community partners throughout Prescott to share donuts, gratitude, and appreciation. We delivered sweet treats to the Prescott Police Department, Prescott Fire Department, the VA Hospital Emergency Department, county detention staff, juvenile probation officers, and several of our valued community partners.

Thank you to the men and women who serve, protect, heal, and support our community every day. We are grateful for the opportunity to continue this sweet tradition of encouragement and appreciation.

A donut may seem small, but it’s one way we can say a very big “thank you” to those who make a difference in the lives of others every day. ❤️🍩

Thank you to our partners Parlor Doughnuts and BoSa Donuts for your generosity in our mission.

🇺🇸🍩❤️Did you know that has its roots in doing good?

In 1917, The Salvation Army began a mission to provide for U.S. soldiers fighting in WWI France. Salvation Army volunteers, nicknamed “Donut Lassies,” set up near the front lines where they could pray with the soldiers; giving them clothes, supplies and, of course, donuts.🫶

Over 100 years later, we're still blessed to bring critical care. Thanks to good people like you, The Salvation Army is still on the front lines, still fighting for good, still serving comfort and compassion to neighbors in need during all types of disaster.

🕊️"We love because he first loved us.” 📖

💟Taking a moment to celebrate our good works together after all these years, sure does make National Donut Day extra sweet!

Here's to enjoying a donut while you learn more about this awesome American tradition, including the lassies' original donut recipe at salarmy.us/NatlDonutDay🍩

The church isn’t a building full of perfect people.

It’s ordinary people discovering that God can do extraordinary things through them.

Today we worshiped, celebrated, prayed over our children, and were reminded that God still uses people nobody sees coming.

Just ask Shamgar.

One verse.
One farm tool.
One willing heart.

And God changed everything.

Come see what God is doing in Prescott.

This past Sunday, we had the privilege of celebrating our beloved Bandmaster, Melvin B. Moore on his retirement from the Divisional Fellowship Band after many years of faithful service.

Through every rehearsal, performance, and act of leadership, he has used his musical gifts to glorify God and inspire countless others. His dedication to ministry through music has left a lasting impact.

We are deeply grateful for his servant heart, his steadfast commitment, and the joy he has brought through his ministry. Congratulations on this well-deserved retirement!

Our ladies were reminded today they are “Built For This” at the SW Women’s Ministry rally at DHQ. They got to sit under the teaching of Major Amy Reardon and fellowship with the ladies throughout our division. They’re excited to continue being people of the Lords 🔥

Today we celebrate what God has already done through our Kids to Camp Golf Tournament… but we’re not done yet.
Because of the generosity of our community, many kids will get the opportunity to experience something they may never otherwise have:
🌲 Campfires
🏕️ Adventure
🤝 Friendship
❤️ Safety
✝️ And most importantly… Jesus.
For many of these kids, camp isn’t just a fun week away. It’s a chance to breathe, belong, be encouraged, and encounter the love of Christ in a real way.
Last year alone, 12 kids accepted Jesus at camp. That is what this is all about.
Right now, we still have 11 kids who need sponsorships so they can attend at NO COST to their families.
A full sponsorship is $350, but truly ANY amount helps get us closer. Whether you can sponsor part of a child’s camp, one full child, or several — you are helping stand in the gap for a kid who needs hope, joy, and a life-changing experience.

As we close out National Salvation Army Week, we reflect on more than 150 years of service, compassion, and hope. ❤️

What began as ministering to people living in poverty on the streets of London in 1865 has now become William and Catherine Booth's worldwide legacy and mission dedicated to serving neighbors in need without discrimination.

From disaster response and emergency shelter to youth programs, food assistance, and spiritual care, The Salvation Army continues to meet human needs in communities across the world and right here in the Southwest Division.

Thank you for being part of this mission and for helping us continue to Give with Joy every single day.

Day 4 of National Salvation Army Week is a reminder that every story matters. ❤️

Across the Southwest Division, lives are being changed through programs and services that provide encouragement, support, and hope for the future.

Every milestone reached, every obstacle overcome, and every new beginning is a reflection of what can happen when a community comes together to walk alongside neighbors in need.
