The UCYC family is grieving the loss of one of our very first camp kids.

On September 6, Cameron Mengarelli went home to be with the Lord. He grew up at UCYC and was part of a family that has been woven into the fabric of this ministry for decades. Cameron leaves behind his wife Sarah and their three children: Dawson, Paisley, and Waylon.

At UCYC, we believe in the unique gift of being a camp kid. Growing up in the culture of camp means being immersed in faith, community, and having a front-row seat to God’s work through His church. Cameron’s life reflected all of this—and more.

In moments like this, the camp community shines brightest. We invite you to join us in surrounding Sarah and the kids with prayer and generosity.
