Today's devotion from Beth Rott:

Song: Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father, there is no shadow of turning with thee. Thou changest not, thy compassions they fail not. As thou hast been thou forever will be. Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see. All I have needed thy hand hath provided, great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
Lamentations 3:23 - Great is his faithfulness. His loving kindness begins afresh each day. v. 25 - The Lord is wonderfully good to those who wait for him, to those who seek for him.
Psalm 117:2 - Great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.
II Thessalonians 3:3 - But the Lord is faithful; He will make you strong and guard you from satanic attacks of every kind.
Pres. Prayer Team: Faithfulness is important to the Lord. Faithfulness and its synonyms - loyalty, steadfastness, trustworthiness - are mentioned in the Bible hundreds of times. The Lord also rewards the faithfulness of his people. God pledges to establish and guard his faithful ones against evil. Joe, Joseph, Daniel, Naomi, Ruth, and Hannah are examples of people whom the Lord rewarded for their faithfulness. Then there are the many rewards reserved in heaven for those who are faithful. Faithfulness is a devotion that will not quit no matter what. Salvation comes through faith and the sacrifice and resurrection of the Lord Jesus. Faithfulness shows commitment to God by doing his will, praying, being committed to fellow Christians, dedicating time and resources to the gospel and ministry, and spending time studying the Bible and then seeking ways to put it into practice. Faithfulness begins inwardly with the love for the Lord and others and extends outwardly in the things you do each day. Know that as you live your life in faithfulness to the Lord, He establishes you and guards you against the enemy.

Another great devotion from Beth Rott. Please feel free to add your comments and thoughts. Or if you have a verse or devotion that you want to share, please feel free to share it here. Happy Wednesday everyone.

Song: Give to the winds your fears and be undismayed. God hears your sighs and counts your tears; God shall lift up your head. Through waves and clouds and storms He gently clears the way. Wait for his time, so shall the night soon end in joyous day.
Psalm 34:4 - I cried to him and He answered me! He freed me from all my fears.
Psalm 91:5 - Now you don't need to be afraid of the dark anymore, nor fear the dangers of the day.
Psalm 23:4 - Even when walking through the dark valley of death I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me, guarding, guiding all the way.
Dr. Stanley: We all face storms of some sort: physical crises, relational ruptures, financial pressures, overwhelming circumstances. When troubles hit, we know that God is always there. The problem isn't his absence; it's that fear can make it hard to see him clearly. He is sovereign over every type of storm we face. Our Savior knows that we are frail and He doesn't stand at a distance critiquing our panic. He is present with us in the chaos, and He speaks peace into our heart even when the circumstances haven't changed yet. With three words, Jesus calmed the storm instantly when He said: peace be still. Sometimes He calms our storms just as quickly. Other times, he calms us in the midst of them, giving us his peace while the waters still rage. Either way, He is faithful. When we turn to him in trust, we discover that his presence is always more than enough.

Today's devotion from Beth Rott. Beth told me she has a book that will be coming out soon ~ more info to come! Please feel free to add your thoughts.

Song: I've had many tears and sorrows, I've had questions for tomorrow, there have been times I didn't know right from wrong; but in every situation God gave blessed consolation that my trials come to only make me strong. I thank God for the mountains, and I thank him for the valleys, I thank him for the storms He brought me through; for if I'd never had a problem, I wouldn't know that He could solve them, I'd never know what faith in God can do. Through it all, through it all, I learned to trust in Jesus, I've learned to trust in God; through it all, through it all, I've learned to depend upon his word.
Psalm 91:9 - For Jehovah is my refuge! I choose the God above all gods to shelter me.v.11-12 - For he orders his angels to protect you wherever you go. They will steady you with their hands to keep you from stumbling against the rocks on the trail.
Psalm 103:1-2 - I bless the holy name of God with all my heart. Yes, I will bless the Lord and not forget the glorious things He does for me.
Pres. Prayer Team: Are you familiar with the spiritual roller coaster? Life seems to be going well, and you feel near God and the heights of hope in his love and protection. Then a circumstance causes you to feel the plunge of doubt and distrust. There are a few things to remember as you experience the vicissitudes of life. When you draw near to the Lord, He will draw near to you, James 4: 8. There is no condemnation in Jesus, Romans 8:1. He forgives and cleanses, I John 1: 9. God loves you, I John 3: 1. He has your best interest at heart, Jeremiah 29: 11. He will teach you, John 14: 26. He will give you wisdom when you ask for it, James 1: 5. You hear his voice when you listen to his word, Romans 10: 17. When life seems to run amok, God is the one who can reorder and reorganize it. He alone is able to make a heart of flesh out of a heart of stone, Ezekiel 36: 26. Reveal every corner of your life and every thought to the Lord for cleansing. Thank him for his steadfast love and for accepting you through Christ as his child and a partaker of his divine nature. Then intercede for those around you who may be riding their own spiritual roller coaster.

Today's devotion from Beth Rott. Feel free to add your thoughts.

Song: Be not dismayed whate'er betide, God will take care of you. Beneath his wings of love abide, God will take care of you. All you may need He will provide... Nothing you ask will be denied... No matter what may be the test... Lean, weary one, upon his breast,... God will take care of you, through every day, o'er all the way; He will take care of you! God will take care of you!
Isaiah 41:10 - Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed. I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.
Psalm 23:4 - I will fear no evil.
Psalm 11:10 - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
Pres. Prayer Team: Millions of people suffer from a debilitating problem... fear! Did you also know that some form of "fear not" appears in the Bible roughly 100 times? God did not intend for you to spend your life stunted by fear, anxiety, and worry. In his book, The Purpose Driven Life, Pastor Rick Warren stated that people can allow fear to control their lives, thus missing out on important opportunities. "Instead," he writes, "Christians must work through their faith in relationship with God to take away fear's control over them." Consider "fear not" as an imperative, authoritative divine command! Confidently cast any fears you have upon the LORD. Be bold as you trust in God's purposes for your future. They will not surprise Him, and He can handle it! I Peter 5:7 says: Casting all your cares upon Him for He careth for you.

Today's devotion by Beth Rott. Beth does a devotion each day that includes song lyrics, scripture and some thoughts.

Song: I yielded myself to his tender embrace, and faith taking hold of the word, my fetters fell off, and I anchored my soul; the haven of rest is the Lord. I've anchored my soul in the haven of rest, I'll sail the wide seas no more, though tempests may sweep o'er the wild stormy deep, in Jesus I'm safe evermore.
Hebrews 6:19 - This certain hope of being saved is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls, connecting us with God Himself.
Psalm 33:21-22 - In our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His holy.
name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in you.
Psalm 34:7 - The Angel of the Lord encamps around them who fear him, and he delivers them.
Pres. Prayer Team: The love of God is the believer's North Star. It does not move: "I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, I have continued my faithfulness to you." - Jeremiah 31: 3. And nothing can separate you from it: "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?... for I am sure that neither death nor life nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come nor powers, nor height nor depth nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 8: 35 -39. Always depend on the Lord and his love as your guide. Recognize that no politician, celebrity, good work, or worthy cause can provide the stability and security you seek. Anchor your hope only in God!
