Wednesday 8/13/25 Bible study from Rev. Rondrick Gray Sr.:
Topic: Choose life- the power and promise of God’s call.

Hot points:
1) Adam was not deceived, he chose to be disobedient.
2) Temptation often comes dressed as something good.
3) Bad choices often begin with small compromises.
4) Sin will distort what we were made to enjoy. What was once beautiful may not be beautiful to you anymore because of sin.
5) Instead of bringing closeness to God, sin brought a broken identity to the world.
6) How would you feel if you were talking with God and he was focused on talking to someone else? Be an active listener and helper to those you come into contact with. It is okay to network and build positive relationships even after having some fail.
7) Do as God tells you to do, not as the world influences you to do.

Wednesday 8/6/25 Bible Study thought: God is talking, are you listening ?

A snippet of tonight from Rev. Rondrick Gray Sr:

A malfunction in your life creates hindrances in your relationship with God. Malfunctions can come in the form of:
1) Self Sufficiency and Pride: We serve the blessing more than the blesser. We rely on our own strength instead of Gods.
2) Impatience: Lack of patience breeds unbelief and clouds your view of God’s goodness.
3) The need to know everything: We try to understand or know all of God’s plans which creates a lack of trust. We must wait and allow him to bring things into focus through patience and trust. Rely on his sovereignty.
4) People Pleasing: Seeking the approval of others above God’s will. This leads to comprising your commitment with God.
5) Self Centeredness: focusing on yourself or your own personal desires over anyone else but God calls us to love everyone.
6) Distractions: Anything that pulls you away from the presence of God is a distraction. This can include worries or cares of life or simply the pursuit of money.
