We are grateful to share another encouraging update on Pastor.
They have continued lowering several of the medications and support he has needed, which is a good sign. The goal is to help him become more alert and hopefully begin removing some of the tubes soon.
As they reduce some of the medications, he is feeling more discomfort and pain. We explained that these changes are necessary so they can continue moving forward with his recovery, and he nodded that he understood. The tubes are really bothering him, so we are hopeful they can be removed soon.
His vital signs continue to look good. His temperature rose slightly this evening, so they gave him medication to bring it down and are keeping a close eye on it.
We were blessed to have many friends, pastors, and ministers come by today to pray with him. He responded during the prayers, and it was clear that he was praying along with them. Those moments were such an encouragement to our family.
Tomorrow will hopefully bring more progress. They may be able to remove some of the tubes, and they are planning to decrease his heart support device another step.
Please continue praying for healing, strength, comfort, and steady progress. We are so grateful for every step forward and for every prayer, text, call, message, and word of encouragement. The love and support shown to our family has meant more than we can express.
If we don’t answer a phone call right away, please know we aren’t ignoring anyone. Things can get busy quickly, and texting is usually the easiest way to reach us. We will respond as we are able.
Thank you for continuing to pray and stand with our family. We are trusting God one day at a time and thanking Him for every victory along the way.
All our love, Brooklynn 🤍
