SOUTH LA; ASCENSION COMMUNITY PRAYER ROOM
is under the Covering of Final Assignment Ministry Outreach. COMMUNITY PRAYER ROOMS AS EQUIPPING CENTERS (2025 update)
The Vision of “Final Assignment Ministry Outreach” was imparted to me, Brenda Young in June 2015. The goal, to plant "Community Prayer Rooms as equipping centers, with a specific purpose of preparing the Bride of Christ for Jesus return.”
I will attempt to bring you up to date on the purpose of a Community Prayer Room.”
Our covering is the Final Assignment Ministry Outreach which was established as a nonprofit in July 2017. We do have a Board of Directors and an Advisory Committee to keep the Ministry in line with God's Word and the leading of the Holy Spirit. As a prayer room we are “not considered a church, or under a denominational covering” but our intention is to undergird the entirety of the Body of Christ and support the foundation. We are here to lift the arms of the Saints and join in the Victory of the Cross. As there are a diversity of gifts, there are a diversity of ministries that are meant to first up lift Jesus Christ above all things, then teach, edify and encourage the church. We as believer’s don’t individually carry all the gifts given by the Spirit, only Jesus fulfilled them all. Its also not possible for one ministry to fulfill all the needs of the entire community. Yet each one should do their part in unity, complimenting each other to bring a prepared Bride before Christ. I brought the “Vision” with me to Louisiana when I moved here to live with my son and his family on September 1st 2015. As I talked with my family & friends about it, we formed a Board of Directors and filed for our 501©3 in July 2017. We had Bylaws, a ministry description, a structure, guidelines, everything “expected” from a non-profit organization. The refined details of that Vision have unfolded over the last 7 years as we launched our first prayer room, "Ascension Community Prayer Room," on January 17th 2020. For 4 years we attempted to train and model a prayer room setting similar to the Throne Room of God, our focus being to bring the atmosphere of the Throne Room of Heaven to Earth. It was a challenge doing something new, that had never been done in this community of Ascension Parish. Then a Pandemic came at the exact same time which encouraged people NOT to gather in fellowship, yet we pressed on. During almost 5 years of ministry, we have held worship & prayer meetings, presented community outreaches and organized various events all to uphold this purpose; planting a community prayer room that equips and prepares the Bride of Christ. We have been in venues, churches, homes and community parks. Yet in January 2023 the Lord said to leave the old things behind, not to bring the past into the future and write a new chapter. This is when we had a rebirth… The Lord's vision for us remains the same, our perception of it is being adjusted. With a refocus of the Vision, clarity for the future and new revelation, we continue to flow with the move of the Spirit. We would love to have our own space, however I don't believe that is what's most important to the Lord right now. Wherever He takes us; Homes, Churches, Sanctuary's, Parks, etc... our desire is to bring His Kingdom to earth as it is on Heaven. We are looking forward to this next Season of bringing Glory to God and joining the Intercession of Jesus Christ. We pray that as we follow Jesus, you too will see His reflection in us. Please pray for us as we Pray for you.
