Mt. Zion Cemetery is located at 17683 Hwy. 933 in Prairieville, LA. Our cemetery dates back to the mid-late 1800's and is the final resting place to over 800 loved ones. It's history can be traced back to many of the original settlers of the Galvez area who came from the Canary Islands and Europe....

Good morning Mt. Zion Cemetery families. Today, we will begin the process of correcting the drainage issues that have created issues in our cemetery for years. You will, likely, see some equipment in the cemetery for a couple of weeks. This equipment will not interfere with any burials and the work being done will help us to move forward with making Mt.
