Welcome to worship on September 6th at the Mississippi river with St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church. We are glad to worship with you! In our Gospel Reading for this weekend (Matthew 18:15-20), Jesus offers practical advice to his disciples on how individuals—and the church as a whole—can go about restoring relationships in healthy ways. This weekend we begin a 3-week sermon series on “Relationships and Forgiveness”. How might practicing these words of Jesus about healthy and connected conflict offer an alternative witness in the world? How might our intentional relationships provide relief or a breath of fresh air in our increasingly lonely world? God calls us into community knowing that being in community is hard. In scripture we can find practical guidance for gathering through good and hard times. We hear Jesus’ promise: “For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.”
