Haleyville United Methodist Church

Haleyville United Methodist Church Our historic church was built in 1864. All are welcome to our Sunday morning service at 9:30am. The present building was built by C./C. Morie, Sr.

If records are correct, there have been around 175 years of continuous ministry in Haleyville by the people called Methodist. Godfrey for $900.00 which represents the labor and costs only in 1864, which covers over 150 years in this building: God's House. Our sanctuary is very beautiful. The wooden ceiling is very unique; a large painting in the pulpit area was painted by Chillie McConnell of Port

Norris, commissioned and donated by deceased members, William and Amy Berry. The pews have been refinished and comfortable cushions added by Mary Ella Morie in honor of her deceased husband Jesse T. We are a warm and friendly group who invites everyone to come visit us. We have so much to be thankful for and welcome you to join us anytime. Our service is held from 9:30-10:30am every Sunday with Sunday School following from 11:00-12:00.
