What a lady.
For 95 years, Gay Nell Williams DeHart covered her piece of the world and touched so many lives. I called her Sister DeHart. Others knew her as Mama, Mother, Mimi, Mrs. DeHart, and Gay. I am so thankful to have shared a slice of her life for nearly 30 years.
Sister DeHart was accomplished in every aspect of her life—professionally, privately, as a mother and family member, and most importantly, in serving her God. She did all things well.
We lost her yesterday, and oh, how she will be missed. But oh, how she touched our lives. We are grateful that the Lord loaned her to us for these many years.
Her race is complete, and she can now rest in the arms of the God she served so faithfully for so many years.
What a tremendous loss for those of us who are left here. Yet we are comforted knowing that her work here is finished.
Please keep the DeHart family in your prayers as the grieve this great loss.
Arrangements are pending.
