There is a difference between hearing and understanding.

Many of us hear words every day — from God, from leadership, from family, and from those we love — yet still miss the meaning because we are listening to respond instead of listening to understand.

Jesus said:
“Hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.”

The enemy often does not attack communication first…
He attacks understanding.

Because when understanding is missing:
Confusion grows.
Relationships become strained.
Offense increases.
Division enters.
And people begin to feel unheard, unseen, and isolated.

Many people are not looking to be fixed —
They are looking to be understood.

And until we pursue understanding, we cannot truly grow in our relationships with others or deepen our relationship with God.
