Mark your calendar and get your fur, feather and scale-babies ready! The blessing of the pets is Saturday, Oct. 3, at Lakeview Park. It's at 6:30 p.m., and all are welcome!

Join us for Bible Study this month! We're gathering at noon on Tuesdays throughout September for Bible study "We Love Because He First Loved Us."

We'll walk through scripture, reflection and honest conversation about what it looks like to live out God's unconditional love in daily lives. No Bible background is needed. Bring lunch and/or a friend.

Mark your calendar! We'll have our annual congregation meeting after service on Sunday, Sept. 27, in the Parish Hall. There will be snacks.

It should start around 10:15 a.m.

The congregation will discuss:

Election of congregation officers

Receiving annual reports from committees

Authorization of payment of salaries, utilties and operational expenses for the current fiscal year until the budget is passed in January.

For those who cannot attend in person, an option to join on Zoom will be available. The church office will send out that information to the congregation.

Education is one of the strongest tools a community has for breaking the cycle of poverty. School Kits contain essential supplies to help children - and in some cases, adults - continue learning in the face of serious obstacles.

We're collecting items to create school kits for Lutheran World Relief, and we're wondering if you can help. Items needed for these kits are:

70-80 sheet spiral notebooks

Unsharpened #2 pencils

2 ½ "erasers

black or blue ballpoint pens

These can be placed in the basket in the Parish Hall by the end of the month.

Bringing a baby into the world can be a difficult and scary thing for a family. We're hoping to help them by collecting items and making baby care kits for families through Lutheran WorLutheran World Relief

These items help families care for their new family member the way they hope to. The items needed for the kits are:

Lightweight cotton T-shirts

Long or short sleeved gowns or sleepers without feet

Swaddling blankets 36' to 52' square

Jacket, sweater, or sweatshirt with a hood

We're having so much fun at our Vacation Bible School this month! And there's still time to join us!

Kids grades K - 5 are invited to VBS on Wednesday evenings this month at Water Works Park.

Snacks, songs, crafts and stories will be available from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays July 15,22 and 29.

Meet at Derby Pond by the shelter at the Lighthouse. Please fill out the attached registration form and drop it at the church office or bring it with you to VBS. We hope to see you there!
