Kristen is our missionary focus for the month of May. Kristen has been one of our missionaries at FBC for some time is living in Arizona and reaching out to a wide variety of people in her community. She gave us an update recently in which she reported. Recently, I've been working hard on getting things going on our garden project here and on writing and recording for the podcast I'm doing. Way of Life Garden Refuge is a place to meet people where they're at, especially those who have been alienated from church, but are still asking spiritual questions and interested in Jesus. Like it was for Jesus and so many of his parables, the garden is a great place to explore what it means to pray and search out spiritual questions. The folks who have come around so far have asked me to run some cohorts for them and for others who may join us. The first cohort will likely explore key concepts and questions so we can get on the same page for future discussions. For instance, we are called "Way of Life" but what is Life? What do we mean when we say "Life" and why does this matter for how we understand God and humanity? With that said, here are some prayer requests: Kristen has given us several things to pray for during the month of May. Please join us this month in lifting Kristen up in prayer. This week Kristen has asked for prayer for discernment. She said, Pray for me as I continue to discern the future and what other opportunities for ministry I should take on.
