Looking for a church community that chooses love over division, and grace over judgment? 🕊️✨
This past Pentecost Sunday, our rector shared a powerful message about what it truly means to be a spirit-filled church. Rooted in the promise of Pentecost, the sermon reminded us that the Holy Spirit doesn't call us to a life of fear, exclusion, or rigid judgment. Instead, we are called to be a community of "living waters"—overflowing with life, hope, and deep mutual respect.
Here is a quick glimpse of who we strive to be at St. Francis:
A Place Where You Belong: We believe the Body of Christ is beautifully diverse. Whether you are a Republican or a Democrat, a lifelong evangelical or a progressive seeker, you have a seat at our table. We are united by one faith and one love.
A Community Grounded in Love: As our former Presiding Bishop Michael Curry beautifully said, "If it ain’t about love, it ain’t about Jesus." We focus on building deep relationships rather than weaponizing scripture or dividing people over moral stances.
A Family built on Grace: God doesn't need us to aggressively "defend" Him; He invites us to love one another. We are a parish where it’s okay not to have it all figured out, and where we gladly respect the dignity of every single human being.
No matter who you are, where you come from, or where you find yourself on your spiritual journey, the doors at St. Francis are wide open for you. Come experience a gospel of love, find refreshment in community, and let's seek the living waters together.
Join us this Sunday! We can’t wait to welcome you home. ❤️
