Pastors Poncho and Giselle reflected on their first trip to the United States in last month's blog, saying, "fears can become opportunities."

We have seen it over and over!
🤰🏽 In the young mom attending a women's group
👨🏽‍🎓 In the student studying for his college entrance exam

But we've also seen it from those who visit FSM on a short-term mission trip!

A few more photos from our weekend visiting the Quetzal Education Research Center!

We asked what the students enjoyed most about the experience, and they said:
🎉 "I loved spending time with the university students and playing games with them"
🪶 "The quetzal. I've heard about it but never saw one before today"
🇨🇷 "Everything! The people, the nature, the break from my normal routine, and spending time with God"

This week, 7 students from FSM are visiting Quetzal Education Research Center! They're joining university students from the United States to learn about biodiversity, conservation, and sustainability through a Christ-centered approach.

We asked what they were most looking forward to, and they said:
🦜 "I'm excited to see the quetzals and other birds"
🇨🇷 "I'm excited to see a new part of my country"
💡 "I'm excited to have a new experience"

We're just over a month into a new school year, and our Preschoolers are kicking off the year with a new program: English language lessons!

We have already witnessed how learning English has created many new opportunities for our teen and adult students. Now, it is time to give our youngest learners that same advantage.

As English teacher Johan writes, "At Faithful Servant Missions, we aren't just teaching the ABCs; we are cultivating the future leaders of this community. We know that the English program achieves its deepest impact when interlaced into the other curricula we offer."
