Phase 1 completed ✅

We are incredibly proud of these men who just completed Phase 1. This phase is 90 days and they go through the Alpha curriculum. This is a big mile stone for this group. The first 90 days of getting sober in a structured program is not easy. For many of these guys this is the first time in years that they have been able to accomplish this. The toughest part of it is facing and feeling the weight of their past without running to something to escape reality, to make themselves “feel better”. They are learning what it means to trust & rely on Jesus and the community that He has surrounded them with. Please continue to pray for each of them as they enter Phase 2 and start counseling with their therapist.

We are so grateful for each and everyone of you who support Calvary House. We wouldn’t be able to offer what we do for free to these men without you. Thank you for the investment you have and continue to make. God is restoring and redeeming not just these men but the families that are attached to them.

Buenos dias From Tizimin, Mexico!!!

Thank you for all of you who have been thinking and praying for us. This trip has been incredible in so many ways. The work that has been and is being accomplished here is going to impact generations and generations for Jesus. We are beyond humbled that we get to be a part of it.

Family Day is next Sunday!!

There’s something really special about getting a text response like this from a Calvary House graduate.

Because behind that text response is a story of struggle, brokenness, hard conversations, and a whole lot of surrender. It’s a reminder that what God does here goes far beyond sobriety, He transforms hearts, restores identity, and rebuilds lives from the inside out.

Texts like this are fuel. They remind us why we do what we do.

God is still changing lives. And it’s a privilege to witness it.

Every other week, we hold an accountability class called a Sociogram. It’s a powerful time where the men are both affirmed in where they’re growing and challenged in the areas that need attention.

This tool gives a clear picture of where each man is relationally, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. At times, it means hearing things that aren’t easy, but those are often the very things that lead to real growth.

At the same time, it’s just as important for the men to hear where they’re doing well. Accountability isn’t only about correction, it’s about encouragement too.

Family Day: April 2026

Family Day at Calvary House is hands down one of the best days of the month.

It’s not just a visit, it’s a glimpse of restoration in real time.

You see fathers hugging their kids again. Wives and husbands beginning to rebuild trust. Families who once felt completely broken starting to find hope again. Conversations that once felt impossible are happening. Walls are coming down and hearts are beginning to heal.

Family Day reminds us that this journey isn’t just about the men in the program getting sober, it’s about the families being restored alongside them. It’s about relationships being rebuilt, one step at a time.

Moments like these are why we do what we do.

And every single time, we walk away reminded how humbled we are that God uses us to play a small part. God is moving!!

There are so many incredible things about the Calvary House program, but one that stands out in a special way is how the staff at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale comes alongside the men & women. They don’t just serve, they invest. They mentor, encourage, and help breathe life back into these individuals in a powerful way. We are truly blessed by the support surrounding this ministry. It’s amazing to witness what God is doing in this place.

This photo is of Reuben and Eddie Olmedo. Eddie has faithfully served on our church staff for many years. He not only helped Reuben take the step to enter Calvary House, but he’s also continuing to walk alongside him throughout the program. That kind of commitment is something special to witness.

We also want to say this clearly, we could not do what we do at Calvary House without all of you and your support. Thank you for standing with us and making this possible.
