The World Hunger Campaign 2011 is a community project to unite youth in an effort to feed the starving in third world countries. Those who will receive the food are considered to be the “poorest of the poor” in their impoverished communities and include orphans, hungry school children, the elderly and families who do not have enough food to provide at least one meal a day to the
ir children. Cross International wants to partner with youth groups throughout South Florida to combat the scourge of hunger. Christian youth groups will raise money to send food to Haiti, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Belize, St. With our community’s help, children on the brink of death will have a chance at life and a brighter future. The World Hunger Campaign 2011 will kick off April 1st and culminate on the weekend of World Food Day (October 16th.) Each church or community youth group will raise funds for the shipment of Vitafood (Manna Pack.) Vitafood is a nutritionally balanced food product specifically developed for malnourished and starving children. It is a perfect combination of nutrients, beans, rice and other tasty ingredients that have been scientifically developed to sustain and rebuild the health of children and adults. Teenagers participating in the fundraising will have the opportunity to attend five exciting events. In addition to four fun events, the youth will have the opportunity to package Vitafood, provided by Feed My Starving Children, and fill a container to be shipped to the hungry.
