Advent is for hope.

18 year old Sara, pictured in the middle, is back home with her family after 35 days in ICE detention. She is beloved by her family and friends and deserves to be home.

We are grateful to the NYU Law School Habeas Project, Human Rights First, Jones Day, Fr Hank Tuell, and Vice Chancellor Mary Davis, who all worked to bring Sara home.

He is risen! 🌄

As we worship on this Easter morning, we know many of us carry burdens—grief for what’s lost, anxiety about tomorrow, weariness from life’s trials. Yet through Christ we remember that the sun does come up, even after the darkest of nights, and what feels like the end of the story, might just be the beginning. The empty tomb proclaims that death is not final and God’s love renews us in ways we can’t imagine.

May this hope fill your heart today, reminding you that a brighter future through Christ awaits. He is risen indeed! 🙏🌷
