“Behold, I make all things new….” God has fresh plans for all of us; plans that will give hope and grow us into a closer relationship with Him. Jesus said that we sometimes need to get rid of our old “wineskins” to make room the new life He wants to give us (see Matthew 9:15-17).

The church is no different! PUMC’s building has become cluttered with remnants of old ministries, and we’ve been doing some serious “Spring Cleaning” lately to make room for “new wineskins.”

But many of our “old wineskins” (such as Bible Study books, Vacation Bible School materials, and other teaching supplies) might become the “new wineskins” of fresh ministries that others need.

So we’re holding a “pay as you want” Yard Sale on Saturday June 6. We’ll use the freed-up closet space and any proceeds to make fresh connections with the life that God offers us in Jesus Christ.

Yard Sale details are below:

What is God like? In this year’s Vacation Bible School we’ll see that God made us and knows everything about us. He loves us, wants to protect us, and He’s always there!
VBS will be held during the week of June 22, and registration is now open! For details, click below:

The word Nature conjures up images of mountains, sunsets, and flowers. The earth and everything God created is beautiful, but God Himself is beautiful too! During the week of 6/22/26, this year's Vacation Bible School will take us to "Rainforest Falls" to learn more about God and who He is.

This is just a reminder that our First Responders Heroes Dinner is this Tuesday, February 24th from 4:00-8:00 in the Pitman United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall and we need your help!! Chris Valianti had his knee replaced three weeks ago and will be pretty much giving the orders, not doing the work! That’s where you come in. We need some people to be there on Tuesday beginning at 2 o’clock to be his hands and begin the preparations for the meal. We also need desserts provided by the women of the church. I hope you can come, and I hope you can help! Please let Erica in the church office know or respond here. Thanks for your help!

Today is Ash Wednesday (2/18): the beginning of Lent. Lent is a 40 day season where we reflect on our relationship to God, and it culminates in the celebration of Easter- Resurrection Day. One of the tools we have to help guide us in that reflection is the “Daily Devotions for Lent” booklet. A new version of this booklet is written each year, and it contains daily articles written by ordinary people sharing their personal stories of faith.

You may have already picked up a copy of this (free) booklet from your church; today is the day to start reading it. If you don’t have a printed copy, you can read it on the PUMC website (click below)….

Lent is a time to rededicate yourself to God and to prepare for the awesome power and grace that God demonstrated through Christ's resurrection. The devotional booklet presented in this post will be helpful as we move through this season of Lent.
