Isaiah 11:10-16 remains relevant for the Church, highlighting a world marked by division and exile. Humanity seeks unity through politics, culture, and achievement, but Isaiah points to only one true rallying point: Jesus Christ, the Root of Jesse. In all of it, the faithful are called to anchor their confidence not in what they see, but in what God has said.

The believer’s confidence rests in something this world can never take away. The Word that called sinners out of darkness still gives life today. The Word that transformed hearts in the first century still transforms hearts in the twenty-first. It has not grown outdated, lost its authority, or surrendered its power. It endures because its Author endures.

The believer’s confidence rests in something this world can never take away. The Word that called sinners out of darkness still gives life today. The Word that transformed hearts in the first century
