Heaven is rejoicing today, and so are we! At our 11:30 AM service, 7-year-old Kitty Grayce was baptized by Pastor James Greer and Pastor Richie Thornton after feeling Jesus call her to take this special step. Kitty shared that she wants to spend eternity in Heaven and grow a closer, better attitude every day through her relationship with Christ. It is a beautiful thing to see such a young heart answer God's call so boldly. We’re so proud of you, Kitty! God is moving

Responsibility, Conviction, and God's Design

What does it really mean to "act like a man" according to Scripture? In this message, we explore God's design for biblical manhood and the responsibilities that come with spiritual maturity. True maturity isn't determined by age, strength, status, or success—it's revealed through responsibility, conviction, and obedience to God.

This sermon challenges men to move beyond excuses, stop blaming others, and embrace the calling God has placed on their lives. Through practical teaching and biblical examples, we learn that growth begins when we take responsibility, align our desires with God's design, and allow the Holy Spirit to transform us.

Whether you're a man, woman, young adult, or student, the principles of responsibility, repentance, growth, and spiritual maturity apply to everyone. God's design leads to freedom, purpose, and abundant life.

Key Takeaways
Responsibility is one of the clearest signs of spiritual maturity.
Growth begins when we stop blaming others and take ownership of our actions.
God's design must take priority over personal desires.
Living by conviction produces stability; living by feelings produces inconsistency.
Real maturity requires identifying problems, evaluating them, and taking action.
Responsibility creates freedom, while avoiding responsibility leads to bo***ge.
Men are called to protect, provide, lead, and repent when they are wrong.
Spiritual growth requires both God's grace and biblical knowledge.
Uncontrolled desires eventually control the person who follows them.
Samson serves as a warning about allowing desires to override God's purpose.
Jesus demonstrates perfect manhood through both strength and compassion.
Transformation becomes possible when we surrender to God's design and power.

There is nothing better than watching a life completely transformed by grace! Today at the 11:30 AM service, John Madden stepped into the waters of baptism with Pastor James and Pastor Richie Thornton, choosing to stop running on his own strength and start doing things God’s way. John recognizes the incredible shift from where his life used to be to where his faith is now, and while he’s always been a hard worker, he is ready to dedicate his life to working for Christ alongside his fiancé. We’re so proud of you, John! God is moving

"A better life." That is exactly what Dekeisha Chaston was looking for when she decided to make a public declaration of her faith today. Pastor James Greer and Pastor Richie Thornton had the privilege of baptizing Dekeisha at 11:30 AM, celebrating a fresh start and a beautiful reminder that it is never too late to let God change your story. To everyone who has been through the fire, Dekeisha’s step of faith is proof that God is still in the business of making all things new. We’re so proud of you, Dekeisha!
Celebrate with us!

God calls men out of childhood and into true, biblical manhood—a place where responsibility equals maturity. While a boy follows his feelings and makes excuses, a godly man lives by conviction, owns his mistakes, and chooses God's design over cultural desires. Let’s learn from Samson that physical strength means nothing without spiritual maturity. Instead of "following our hearts," let's choose to follow Christ, stepping into the purpose, power, and peace of living by His Spirit.
