Today, we give thanks for all fathers, grandfathers, godfathers, stepfathers, foster fathers, and the father figures who guide, protect, and love their families with faith and devotion.

We are especially grateful for the example of St. Joseph, whose humble strength, unwavering trust in God, and loving care for the Holy Family continue to inspire fathers everywhere.

To all the fathers in our parish community, thank you for your sacrifices, your guidance, and your faithful witness.

Our St. James family is excited to follow the journey of our Youth Coordinator, Brianna Chavez who is currently participating in the Diocese of Phoenix's Engage Your Equal (E.Y.E.) Service Immersion Program in Kenya.

Recently she had the opportunity to visit with the sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (same order as Sr. Sophie and Sr. Betty). She witnessed and celebrated with a group of Seminarians who took their perpetual vows.

These photos capture just a glimpse of the joy, faith, and connection that come from living out the Gospel.

As a parish family, we ask for your prayers for her continued journey and for all those she encounters along the way. May this experience strengthen her faith and inspire our St. James community to answer Christ's call to love and serve one another.

On this Memorial Day, we pause in prayerful remembrance of the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

As we honor their courage and selfless devotion, we entrust them to God’s eternal care and lift in prayer the families who carry their memory in their hearts. May we never take for granted the freedoms secured through such sacrifice, and may we strive to live lives marked by gratitude, service, and peace.

Today, we honor the incredible women who embody the selfless, nurturing love of Christ in our homes and our community. Whether you are raising young children, guiding adult ones, or offering maternal love to those in need of a spiritual home, your presence is a reflection of Mary’s own "Yes" to God.

We also hold in our hearts those for whom this day may be difficult, those mourning the loss of a mother, those yearning to be mothers, and those navigating strained relationships. May the Holy Spirit bring you comfort and peace.
