“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.”📖 Oh, the rewards for Dr. Rev. Juanita Allen! She has so selflessly served Maricopa's neighbors in need with utility bills, food, clothing, furnishings and interview preparation.

Such a happy day when Maricopa city officials, business owners and community members gathered to honor Allen, Chairperson of the Maricopa Unit of The Salvation Army, with the “Doing the Most Good” Award. ❤️

Thank you, Dr. Rev Juanita Allen! May God bless you always.

Our gratitude to InMaricopa for shining you community spotlight on such an awesome volunteer!

Juanita Allen received the Salvation Army's "Doing the Most Good" Award after years of community service in Maricopa.

🇺🇸 For 250 years, Americans have shown up for their neighbors.
Today, that spirit of generosity continues through people who choose to make a difference in their communities.

Through our United by Generosity campaign, we’re inviting supporters to give $250 in honor of America’s 250th birthday and help us reach our goal of $250,000 to provide meals, shelter, heat relief, and hope for local families.

As we close out National Salvation Army Week, we reflect on more than 150 years of service, compassion, and hope. ❤️

What began as ministering to people living in poverty on the streets of London in 1865 has now become William and Catherine Booth's worldwide legacy and mission dedicated to serving neighbors in need without discrimination.

From disaster response and emergency shelter to youth programs, food assistance, and spiritual care, The Salvation Army continues to meet human needs in communities across the world and right here in the Southwest Division.

Thank you for being part of this mission and for helping us continue to Give with Joy every single day.

Day 4 of National Salvation Army Week is a celebration of hope, perseverance, and new beginnings. ❤️

Recently, The Salvation Army Metro Phoenix celebrated a very special milestone as Jessica Martinez became the first graduate of The Salvation Army’s Pathway of Hope program in Phoenix.

Pathway of Hope is designed to walk alongside families as they work toward stability, personal goals, and long-term success.

Jessica’s graduation is a beautiful reminder that transformation is possible when hope, determination, and support come together.

We are grateful for the staff, supporters, and community members who help make stories like these possible every single day.

Stay tuned as we share more of Jessica’s journey soon.

Day 2 of National Salvation Army Week is all about hope for families in our community. ❤️

Today, The Salvation Army Metro Phoenix joined City of Phoenix, AZ USA Mayor Kate Gallego, Vice Mayor Kesha Hodge Washington, community leaders, and supporters to dedicate the future site of a third wing at our Phoenix Family Shelter.

This expansion will increase shelter capacity by 50%, allowing even more families experiencing homelessness to access safe shelter, supportive services, and pathways toward stable housing.

We are grateful for the partnerships and support that make this vision possible.

Happy National Salvation Army Week ❤️

Established in 1954 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower, National Salvation Army Week was created to recognize the work being done in communities across the country through The Salvation Army.

This week, we celebrate the officers, employees, volunteers, donors, and supporters who make this mission possible every single day. Because of your kindness and generosity, meals are served, shelter is provided, lives are transformed, and hope is found.

🙏 Thank you for being part of this mission with us.
