The Anchor of Truth Church began March 15, 2015, with a vision to change the lives of people here in Northern Wisconsin, as a full gospel church where “Jesus is the anchor of our soul, firm and secure” - Hebrews 6:19, bringing healing and ministry to those in need. That word was “SEE”. When Pastor Larry asked the Lord what he was supposed to see the Lord replied “What would you like to ‘SEE’” and
within just a few months the vision unfolded for Pastor as he could see the people of the northwoods coming out and dramatic changes taking place in their lives spiritually, emotionally and physically. With the support of His Church World Outreach, their home church in Oshkosh, WI, Pastor Larry, his wife Beth and their two sons, Noah and Jackson, relocated to the Phillips area in June of 2015. Pastor serves the congregation with an anointing and calling for the people of northern Wisconsin, along with a bachelor’s degree from Indiana Christian University where he studied under Dr. Lester Sumrall, and a year’s worth of pastoral training from The School of the Local Church located at Grace Fellowship in Tulsa, OK, under Pastor Bob Yandian. He also served as the founding pastor of the Northwood’s Believers Church of Phillips, WI, associate pastor at His Church World, and as a Winnebago County Sherriff's Chaplain. The church began meeting at The Meadows, located on the corner of Hilly Haven Rd and Hwy 13 in Phillips with a core group of committed members. Starting small, the church has already seen new growth, miraculous healings, and lives surrender to our Lord Jesus Christ. On May 1, 2017 we had the great blessing of purchasing our building, located at 114 N Avon Street in Phillips. We look forward to what God will do with the lives He is changing here in Northern Wisconsin.
