16 - Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior.
Hab 3:17-18
📝 Regardless of our situation, we can still rejoice and praise the LORD. In the US, we often associate the blessings of God with prosperity. If we have plenty and our family is fine, we rejoice and thank the LORD. Yet, the greatest gift is our Salvation, God’s forgiveness and redemption. Nothing can take that away. (I’ve been trying to learn this my entire life). If we have shelter clothing and strength, in Christ we have everything we need. In the book of Habakkuk, the writer is destitute, yet He praises and exalts His LORD. We can all do this, regardless of our circumstances. Why not start now. Even in the most difficult situations the Holy Spirit invites us to sing and rejoice (the best of times and the worst). We do not have to wait for heaven or better days. We can praise Him Now! With His anointing, we can worship through it all.
