The Fellowship of Women Clergy affirms that God calls and equips women for every area of Christian ministry, including pastoral leadership.

We grieve decisions that deny women the opportunity to serve as pastors solely because they're women. These restrictions not only wound those God has called, but they deprive congregations of the gifts, wisdom, and leadership God has provided for the building up of Christ's Church.

To every woman who has heard the voice of God calling her into ministry: do not lose heart. We are with you. More importantly, God is with you!

This is the only moment we have
within the day that is ours.
Minutes and moments and months will soon be gone.
What would we have done in that time?
What shall we leave behind?
What will we choose to remember?
The pain or the peace
The humanity of the other or the peppered hurts in our heart
This is the only moment we have!
What would we have given?
What would we have become?
What would we have left behind?
What lingering scent will permeate the atmosphere and reach heaven's gate of glory?
What filtering light would we have left to give guide to those looking for a path forward.
This is the only moment we have in the only day we have.

Rev. Bernadette Mills is Executive Pastor of Through the Word Church. Her mission is to see women injected into systems to establish cultural change; whether as a wife, mother, CEO, educator entrepreneur, ministry leader, etc. She and her husband are on a mission to see marriages operate at peak levels through their TAILORMADE Marriage initiative; which consists of pre/post counseling, workshops, seminars, conferences and outings.

Years ago, I learned that trees don’t lose their leaves in the fall; they actually release them to preserve resources for the winter. When the spring returns, the branches welcome new leaves.
