Studying God’s Word is of the utmost importance; it is the only subject of any real value. I can only please and glorify God when my worldview is seen through the “filter” of His Word.

What is revealed about our view of God when other things (our problems, our temptations, our goals, our achievements, etc.) loom large in our eyes is that God is not first and we are blind to His glory.
I Chronicles 16:27-29 - Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place. Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength. Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

Sanctification is the process whereby the Spirit of God takes the Word of God and changes us to become like the Son of God.
John 16:13 - “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.”

What we tolerate in our ears is a good measure of what we will allow to enter our hearts.

The next generation must see by our passionate, God-loving lives that He is good, that He is delightful and that He is desirable to make one wise.
