Phenix City First To see people become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. SERVICE TIME: 10:30AM On April 28, 1935, The Reverend J.C. A.S. Davis, and started to grow rapidly.

Around 1935, a group of 13 young people from Columbus, GA "came across the river" and held tent revival meetings here in Phenix City, AL. The young people were led by Reverend Emory Andrews, who felt the call to start an Assembly of God Church in Phenix City. The Revival Meetings were a huge success, and from that small beginning, the group began holding regular services around January of 1935 at

the corner of 7th Ave and 20th St. Thames (then superintendent of the Alabama District) presided over the opening of the Church. Reverend Andrews was elected as church pastor of The Phenix City Assembly of God. It was not until sometime around 1946 that it began going by its present name of First Assembly of God. Shortly thereafter, the church held a tent revival, led by Rev. The congregation had to move into a new building on the corner of Flinn Alley and 10th Ave. Members and friends donated the materials and labor to build the new church. Phenix City First moved in the early 90's to its present location at 3777 Highway 431 North under the leadership of Rev. Barry Danner. A new sanctuary was built and other ministry buildings were added. Rev. Barry and Charlene Danner retired on December 31st 2022 and Rev. Nelson and Amy Lugo were voted as the new lead Pastors.

🎉 WHAT A WAY TO KICK OFF THE SCHOOL YEAR! 🎉

Our PCF KIDS Back to School Bash was SO much fun! From team field games and crazy wacky sodas to pizza, friends, and plenty of laughs, we had the BEST time celebrating the start of a new school year! 🏃‍♂️🥤🍕🙌

And let us tell you… these kids got SERIOUS about those games! 😂

They were competitive, all in, and having the time of their lives!

We’re so thankful for every PCF KIDS Leader who came out and helped make this morning so much fun!

Last week we said goodbye to one of our incredible leaders, Ms. Ashleigh! As she begins her new adventure we are sending her off with love and support! Today, our team hit 10 different locations around our community for Popsicles in the Park! We got to share a little sweetness and a LOT of Jesus with kids, families, and people along the way.

We handed out popsicles, connected with our community, and invited families to join us for our Kids B2S Bash tomorrow and to be part of what God is doing at our church.

We’re so thankful for every conversation, every smile, and every opportunity to show the love of Jesus to our community!

PCF KIDS represented well today at their first JBQ match of the year!!

We are so proud of each of them and all of their hard work studying God’s word! 🙌

They placed 2nd in their division and won 4 out of 5 matches!

We missed Coach Tandy who had to work today and wasn’t able to go to Montgomery with us - but she has been working hard the past month leading the kids in their practices each week! We are so thankful for her and are looking forward to her being with the team next month! ❤️🙌
